Not when they awkwardly tried to figure out their feelings in the cave of two lovers? When aang nearly died and katara used the spirit water to bring him back and hugged him tight? When we see the childish jealousy and them throwing a party for the firebending children where they got to be free and dance?

It took a character being hot to you for you to actually see any potential in romance?

Kataang has always been a very cute romance between two kids working through their trauma and finding hope in what seems hopeless. It's endearing.

Amir and his family have been displaced 7 times since this war began, and are under threat of being displaced again.
