cue ladybug having to awkwardly tell him that yes, they actually did kiss once around five or six years ago, and she's been using that experience this whole time to justify the observation that chat noir is a terrible kisser. he is SO mad.

she tries to describe the date she went on with this guy whom she really really likes and he's so perfect and sweet but the way he kissed threw her off a little. and as chat noir starts hearing more and more details he's like FUCK. ladybug WAS my date. and he knows he should tell her what he now knows but he's honestly so mortified he would rather die with the secret

I took WAYYY too long to finish this and after a while of not drawing digitally I had to get used to it again so that is my defense for why it looks WEIRD. thank you GOODNIGHT

But. But none of the other characters KNOW THAT. So everyone just sees Chat Noir and is like “look at this guy’s ego. He’s so full of himself. Surely it’d be fair to knock him down a few pegs” without being aware of how few pegs he actually HAS. He’s like the “insecure character who overcompensates in ego” trope except he’s really not doing it unironically, he’s just having a fun LARP pretending to have self worth in his off-hours but nobody else is on the same page about it being a game and he refuses to tell them. He just dramatically pouts about it and lets them laugh and pretends like he’s not internalizing it and it is almost 3 am and my brain forced me to write this instead of sleeping I’m gonna take a melatonin

Chat Noirs like “I’m the sexiest coolest and most awesome cat in the entire mewniverse and everyone’s just jealous ;3c” and another hero opens their mouth to playfully retort and Ladybug snaps her head to them like “WHAT??? YOU GOT A PROBLEM WITH HIM BEING THE SEXIEST COOLEST AND MOST AWESOME CAT IN THE ENTIRE MEWNIVERSE?????? DO YOU???? HUH???? BECAUSE YOURE JEALOUS???????”
