Happy Pride month

At 1:30 am, on May 10th, Henry passed away.

He suffered an acute GI bleed suspected to be from IBD and had been hospitalized since 5/7. Despite blood transfusions and wonderful care by ER staff, he was not able to recover.

Never in my life have I known such pure and unconditional love as I did for the past 2 years, 2 months, and 9 days. From a little boy ferret that many thought was better off not being given the chance to live his life, purely because of his disability.

Who became the absolute gravitational center of my universe above all other things, and inspired so much love in the hearts of thousands of people all over the world.

Every part of him and all of the lessons he taught me are woven so tightly within who I am as a person, there isn't a word that exists in the entirety of the english language which holds enough weight to appropriately describe how I feel right now.

Earlier this month, Henry popped the question and Louise’l said yes, unifying our families together as one!

The Nemo

We've moved to a new house, and made a lot of new friends! The ferrets have a play space nearly double the size of the previous room and they love it!

Unfortunately in late February we lost Bandit to renal failure 💔 He was nearly 7 years old! He leaves behind Moxie who has been doing well since his passing.

But shortly after, the ferret distribution system sent us Henry who is kind of a medical miracle!

The majority of his brain tissue is lesion and non-functioning. Somehow, by some miracle, he still functions well and maintains a good quality of life, he's just kind of wobbly!

The neurologists don't think his condition will progress, and that he was likely born this way.
