I have a theory for Mugman from Myth Of The Machine

(Just a game theory don't jump me)

What if he has psychosis? I've done a deep research about what the symptoms are and how it works (I don't know how to phrase it better, so I'm SO SORRY if it sounds bad) and by the last update we've got of motm, it really resembles it a little.

Now, I'm not saying this is SURELY canon. Because I'm not a person working on the comic and I'll never get the approval that this is for sure real, but I like to headcanon this.

I hope some other people thought the same thing and if it doesn't make sense, then don't worry, my headcanons are weird sometimes lol

I think mugman is more leaning towards being a sociopath than a psychopath, he has impulsive and reckless tendencies and does seem to care for those he loves (Cuphead and probably Elder Kettle)
