The phrase "Open your eyes" reminds me of one of my favorite movies: "Abre los Ojos" by Alejandro Amenábar, or its American version, "Vanilla Sky," starring Tom Cruise.

César has it all: money, success, and striking good looks that he uses to seduce women without commitment. Everything changes at his birthday party, where he meets Sofía and falls madly in love. However, this new romance awakens the obsessive jealousy of his former lover, Nuria.
Nuria causes a car accident with the intention of committing suicide. Although César survives, his face is horribly disfigured. Unable to accept his new reality, he sinks into depression until one night, he falls asleep and wakes up the next day with his face completely healed and Sofía waiting for him.
From that moment on, the film becomes a mind-bending puzzle. César begins to experience strange events: his surroundings change inexplicably. Sofía sometimes acts like Nuria, transforming the reality around her, which leads him to murder the woman he can't distinguish between Nuria and Sofía. He is accused of murder and ends up in a psychiatric hospital with his face covered by a mask.
Through flashbacks, we discover the truth behind César's nightmare: after the accident, desperate because of his disfigurement, he hired the services of the company Life Extension to be cryogenically frozen, while his mind lived in a lucid dream designed specifically for him.
The final twist reveals the depths of César's desperation. Unable to live in a world where he destroyed Sofía and himself, he chooses cryogenics. He doesn't seek immortality out of ambition, but to create an eternal dream where Sofía still loves him and his face remains untouched. Their love story is so tragic that he prefers to renounce real life in order to be forever trapped in the memory of the night he fell in love.
