The good thing is you can detect manipulative assholes a mile away. You might not notice if someone’s likes you but damn you know when someone lies.

Learning how to be disciplined is mentally painful

Emotions are difficult but (many agree if you ask) still having more awareness than tumblr stereotypes. This is because girls are encouraged/raised to develop emotional maturity and to pay attention to others perspectives instead of ignoring their feelings and ‘man up’.

So many questions, why? how? when? Some teachers hated you for this, others loved you

It takes a long journey to accept that it’s okay to not be what society expects from you as a female

• books, lots of books; books on shelves, books on the desk, book under bed, half unread, almost completed

•summery conspiracy theories and documentaries

• attempted skin care routine; done one day, ditched the next

• new music filling up the locked room

•open room window at evenings, feeling summer breeze

•hanging out with one or two friends once every 3 weeks

•not answering half of the phone calls received

•ditching almost everyone from work, school, uni environment

These could enable the museum to not only have documentation but also potentially create virtual 3D models of the museum and exhibit. (I’m reminded of the building Rome in a day project, linked below, although I am sure someone focused more on computer vision than I am would have a better idea of the best software to use for this potential task).

And while I know that this cannot replace what was lost it could still be something.

The Manuscripts of Timbuktu.

For Centuries it was taught that Africa & Africans had no written history, literature or philosophy (claiming Egypt was other than African). In this picture we see  1 MILLION manuscripts that were found in the many Libraries of Timbuktu/Mali covering , according to Reuters “all the fields of human knowledge: law, the sciences, medicine,”. Some of the Manuscripts date back to the 13th Century.

This is just one of many examples of written word in Africa which is the most culturally and ethnically diverse continent on the planet.
