      a smile forced his lips to curve upward to conceal the underlying fear behind her warning .      ‘  well, dangerous is my middle name, so  …  ’       he shrugs nonchalantly, a bit weary of the fact that she can read him in ways that not everyone can —  especially when he’s the kind of man who chooses what he wants to reveal .     ‘  what about yours? ’       a curious brow quirked .     ‘ your heart always tell you what to do? ’

                                                        “ there’s a shitty middle name ”      the huntress chuckled, amused by his reaction. natalie could read him easily like that for one sole reason :  she could see herself in dean. she could recognize the flame in his eyes as the same one that kept her going through life.                                                 “ not always ,  but my heart wins the battle more often than i’d like to admit.  i guess this is an emotional occupation ,  against all odds ... ”

“Okay. I will. But... but what about you? Won’t you be coming along?”

                                                       “ i’ll distract them and buy you some time ...  then i’ll be right after you ,  i promise. you just have to find the protective circle and be safe ,  ok ?? ”

“Well,” Lou Ellen hums, “in that case...” There is an incantation on her tongue, ready to be unleashed. “...d’you wanna clear out a nest of myrmekes in Macy’s that’s allegedly been bothering the shopping mortals before we go celebrate the milestone we reached?”

                                        “ to say that i wanna do it is a bit of an overstatement ,  but we’re here for that ”     kate sighed dramatically, as if she was already bored, even if the fighting hadn’t even begun yet.                            “ never thought the myrmekes had such a fine taste ,  though.  if i had to choose a place to fix my nest and terrorize mortals ,  i’d too choose a shopping mall ”
