maybe im just thick headed but i feel like that’s just wasteful, unless you are gonna annotate every book you buy and reread it many many times i don’t see it as worth it

chances you buy the book, read it, and it sits on a shelf for the rest of its days

maybe i’m just like this because i bought a book and then dnfed it and i was like, what do i do with it now? i’m likely not gonna pick it up again(most likely) but i already spent the money so it’s just gonna live on my shelf forever

libraries are free and usually have the book you’re looking for !! i really want more people to take advantages of their local libraries since they’re so great <3

the way my system works is that my first read of a book will always be the version i borrow from the library, that way if i love it then great !! if i dont i can put it down and just return it when the time comes

if i absolutely LOVE a book then ill buy it and annotate it, i did this with shadow and bone, SOTR, and we were liars
