"I think the secret was to shoot it illegally, in like real places, and like to act in it yourself, um, that was something that was really important to me because that's a great way to do something where you don't need to tell... like I think a lot of time spent on making any art is in communicating it to other people, because that's sometimes really really hard, and that's really hard for me. So a great way to save time for me is to do a lot of the script and the staging on my own in the scene without anybody really knowing what's going to happen. And there's a camera team that's following me around all the time anyway, so I thought 'oh, they can just be shooting this movie and we can cut it together and so long as they don't know what's going to happen, it'll seem really real.' and I think that's the secret to a successful cheap movie."
