The super-morbidly obese have coined the term âinfinifatâ to describe their bodies. This woman is burdened by her obesity and has to support herself on the rail - if she lost weight, sheâd feel better and be less restricted.
In fat activist circles, infinifats have been the center of discussion recently, with many claiming they face discrimination from major stores that donât carry clothes in sizes that fit them. However, it isnât discrimination - there arenât many people who wear a 5XL, so few designers make clothes in that size. Itâs a simple issue of lack of demand. Plus, for infinifats, thereâs always Calico Corners for all their clothing needs.
âCan we stop classifying ârealistic proportionsâ as fat please? Like seriously? Do these people really think a mermaid who swims constantly would be fat? Or a woman living in France before the French Revolution would be fat?* Or a Native American girl who constantly runs around and maybe helps to carry heavy things and hunt would be fat? Every time I see articles like this one it makes me so mad. They boast about âoh think of all the little fat girls that look at these skinny princesses and hate themselves!â but fail to think about the little skinny girls who hear people talk about how being skinny isnât ânormalâ or ârealisticâ and feel bad about themselves. There are two sides to every coin, skinny and fat kids get picked on for being skinny and fat. This type of shit isnât for âteh liddle gurlsâ itâs for fat, vain adult women who feel insecure because of a freaking cartoon.â (x) (*)
Hey, I love your blog. Are you still active? Is everything okay?
Yup. Donât worry, I deal with these people every day in my profession, so if it doesnât seem like Iâm active on here I guarantee I'm dealing with fat logic irl. Iâll try to work on this blog- I just have a lot of social media to maintain.

Thin privilege is being healthy and not dying from illnesses brought on by obesity. Â
Nigga what, that aint privilage thats fucking nature
Thin privilege is being healthy and not dying from illnesses brought on by obesity. Â
Letâs talk about Diets
Specifically fad diets, like Keto, Atkins, paleo, and all the rest.
There is no magic in them. They arenât a weight loss hack. There is no miracle diet. It is all CiCo.
That being said however,
They can help you stay motivated. Plain calorie counting can get really monotonous really fast, so if you add in another element, like no carbs, itâs a lot more engaging.
Itâs a lot more interesting, and easier, for a lot of people to eat a high protein, low carb diet between 12pm and 8pm, or to only drink smoothies two days a week, or to go vegan, than to just calorie count.
Without counting, diets can be a lot less restrictive feeling and a lot more like an experiment. Because starting a new diet can be really fun. Going to the grocery store and getting what you need, making a meal plan, finding other people online doing what youâre doing.
And it works, as long as you have an idea of the calories youâre taking in. 2500 calories of low sugar, vegan food is still 2500 calories. So if you arenât losing weight, maybe keep a count for a few days to see where you need to be.
And have fun. There are no real rules to this except burn more than you eat and try to get your vitamins.
Itâs absolutely not calorie in-calorie out, your body starts using your latent fat stores for energy instead of sugars and carbs.Â
Youâre misinformed. If you eat 2000 calories worth of cheese and your TDEE is 1500, you will gain weight. Weight loss is 100%Â CICO. Ketosis [20g> carbs, low-no protein] does not transcend thermodynamics;Â it works because itâs very easy to maintain a caloric deficit when cutting out calorie dense foods (grains, legumes, nuts) coupled with the benefit of diminished cravings.
Counting calories is very important to gauge your intake regardless of your dietary plan.
retawdab reblogged your photoset and added:
Genetics only control your metabolism and whether its harder to lose or gain weight. Doesnât make you genetically fat or thin though.
Thatâs not even slightly true. The only thing that effects your âmetabolismâ [TDEE] is muscle mass which is not genetic. If you find it hard to gain or lose weight youâre either underestimating or overestimating your energy needs. Itâs really not that complicated.
It is not âfatphobicâ to be charged more for large clothing. It is not âfatphobicâ to suggest weight loss. It is not âfatphobicâ to help someone realize how much they overeat. It is not âfatphobicâ to talk about nutrition. It is not âfatphobicâ to encourage a healthy BMI. It is not âfatphobicâ to dismiss the âgenetic obesityâ lie. It is not âfatphobicâ to dismiss the âstarvation modeâ lie. It is not âfatphobicâ to suggest following a lower calorie diet. It is not âfatphobicâ to dismiss any and all fat logic and enabling behavior. It is not âfatphobicâ of your doctor to correctly assess your health and suggest weight loss if you are overweight or obese, or for them to deny performing a surgery due to your weight. Doctors are held liable and obese patients are high risk.
You are healthy at a healthy size. Not all sizes are healthy.
Being fat is not healthy. Call it what you will- fat, overweight, obese. BEING FAT IS NOT HEALTHY. EVER. Stop encouraging others to overeat. Stop encouraging others to neglect their bodies. If you sell people the lies youâve been selling yourself all youâre doing is promoting self harm, a slew of dangerous health complications, and early deaths.
If youâre happy with yourself, keep your fat logic, delusional concepts, and lies to yourself. Dig your own grave, not the graves of others.

I feel like a lot of FAs try to justify being fat by saying theyâre much healthier than their skinny friends and that skinny people can be really unhealthy and itâs like. Yeah I agree that they can be but itâs not a size thing like. If youâre obese youâre automatically unhealthy, if youâre skinny youâre not. You can be, but not because of your weight (unless ur underweight obvi)
Imo âskinnyâ = underweight, which is not healthy. Slim is a better word we need to start using.
I really hate the healthy at every size movement. I am obese and I have lost about 30 pounds in the last few months with diet and exercise then I get this anon on my tumblr telling me I shouldnât be dieting and that I should just love myself because âmedia wants me to be anorexicâ and I am âhealthy at 235 poundsâ (Iâm 5â2â, female) Fuck. That. I want my health and wellness to be stable. I feel like that movement tries to sabotage people.
Self love means recovering from BED, not encouraging it or labeling those losing weight as âfatphobicâ. Youâre doing a great job so far, keep at it and donât let anyone tell you otherwise.
My mom is 57 and got diagnosed with type 2 diabetes 10 years ago when she was dangerously overweight, and since then she started working out 5 days a week and eating better (not perfect, but better) and when she went to the doctor last week they told her that based off her charts from when she was first diagnosed, they were really surprised at how healthy she was, and that if she hadnât gotten healthier she might be dead now. Itâs never to late to change and make a huge life or death difference.
I think it's funny fat people will say they're happy and proud to be fat and there's nothing wrong with it yet they get mad when u call them fat or something. If they really found it fine they would be so touchy. Not all but a lot
I am a bit chubby and I plan on losing the weight because Iâm not gonna glorify disgusting life choices and shove my face full of ice cream and pizza like fat activists want me to!! Unlike them, I want to live past 30

Whoever that cunt vegan anon is that gets their supplements from the NHS is why I want to move country. I donât pay my taxes for morons like them to get supplements because they donât eat properly, just like I donât pay taxes for morbidly obese to get their ops and shit.
Fuck off. Eating properly doesnât mean you need meat and dairy. Chances are you should be taking vitamins, but donât even realize it. Vitamins are not exclusively for vegans and vegetarians.
Donât you have more important things to worry about than a poor anon who cares about their health enough to take supplements? Thereâs a huge difference between eating yourself to obesity and making the country pay for it, and being a struggling lower class adult taking vitamins to make up for food they can not afford.
I guess you thought I would agree with you, but I donât. Keep your political opinions to yourself.
I'm salty. Gastric sleeve is covered by insurance but excess skin removal isn't. Like, I understand why, it's still not fair though. They get free surgery because they can't stop eating. I put work into completely changing my relationship with food and lost 100lbs and I would have to pay out of pocket to not look like a melted ice cream cone
Have you tried gofundme? Most people successfully raise enough money through crowd funding.
