I’m tired of seeing transgender identity represented as a cis man looking in the mirror and seeing a cis woman. Depicting a trans woman as a “woman in a man’s body” or trans man as a “man in a woman’s body” is fundamentally anti-trans and just wrong for most of our experiences. I am a woman. Therefore I have a woman’s body. This is true regardless of how I appear or what my hormonal, genetic, and bodily makeup may be.

As a trans woman, I’m forced into femininity through assumptions about my desires, ignoring that I also enjoy clothes designed for men. I spent years gaining the confidence to wear clothes designated for men again after being repeatedly told I couldn’t be trans if I had such a desire.

There is a solution to this issue of representation. We can create more art describing trans people being forced into conforming to gender roles, trans people of color resisting white standards of trans identity, or trans people opposing the idea that we can’t exist in everyday life. I want to see trans art guided by and featuring trans people. I want to represent me.

This is anon because I avoid tumblr like the plague & don't have an account. I saw your post about how women should not treat incels as though sex is a basic need. I agree for sure that kindness begets kindness, and that the most basic mark of human decency is in how we treat other people, but I'm just curious - isn't the whole dogma of the involuntary celibate community the concept that they DO perceive sex as a fundamental need which they are unable to fulfill? Confused.

Yes, mostly due to the perception that largely women perpetuate that sex is key to a healthy lifestyle and is a human right. So when they dont get sex they dont see it as their fault (even tho most of the time it is) but as a outright attack by women

Pro choice isn’t really pro choice if there’s a limit to it. Either women have bodily autonomy, or we don’t. Nothing magically happens at 27, 28, 29, 30, or even 36 weeks of pregnancy to change that. It is not dependent on the brain activity of a fetus. It is not dependent on the weather. It is not dependent on anyone’s opinion. It is not dependent on anything other than the fact that a woman is a human being and it is wrong to force a human being to remain pregnant.

This is just fucking stupid. Can we work on getting standard rights for our bodies before we start pushing for late term abortions? I may be pro choice but unless it is absolutely necessary for the mothers health no abortion should be performed after the half way mark. If you can’t decide by then if you do or do not want to carry the fetus within you then you need to seek mental help and be honest with yourself and those around you. There is no reason that you should wait until birth is right around he fucking corner to dismember it from inside your own body. Jesus fucking Christ with these extremists. Once a fetus is viable, it should simply be considered induced labor. There is no reason for a woman to be forced into pregnancy; if the fetus is not viable, or is a danger to the health of the woman, she’ll have an abortion, and if the fetus is viable and won’t harm the woman, induce labor and she can birth the fetus and give it up for adoption.

I’m pro-choice. I also believe that unless it is a ABSOLUTE health risk, will kill you or the child/ any form of miscarriage or stillborn, abortions (unless emergency) should not be preformed after the first trimester, again unless necessary. I respect all woman’s choices. This is my opinion. If you disagree, fine I’ll still support you even though I disagree. This level of argument over opinions of people’s body goes against them having a choice over their own body.
