I want the Armand who turned Daniel to be the fucking asshole and gremlin, not the good nurse administering the good death.
I want Armand to have actually been spiteful and hurt and pushed too far in his loss and anger and nearly broke Daniel and realized: if this man dies there will never be another who can see through him again for good and ill.

So giving Daniel the Dark Gift is the only way to salvage things after the lapse in memory to overwhelming feeling. A mix of Louis to Lestat and Claudia to Louis.
I want Armand to be as flawed and stupid and weak and angry and needy and harmful to Daniel as Daniel has been calculated and logical and smooth and and snarky and careful and slyly destructive to him.
I want them to have the operatic highs and lows and I want Armand to be undone by his own mistakes in all ways, but especially where Daniel is concerned.
