in honor of OTRA ending, what were your 5 favorite OTRA moments?

1) the opening concert: it was in australia and i live in the US so i literally stayed up until 6:30 AM watching an entire concert through vines. i just remember the amazing bonding experience that was for all the US fans–we all were just suffering together at the ass crack of dawn, and the livestreams broke ten thousand times, and there were so many hilarious posts about it, and then i slept in until four in the afternoon. good times.
2) the BBMAs: i know a lot of people didn’t like those awards for some reason? but that was the first time i could get excited about 1d after zayn left, and they just hold a special place in my heart. all the boys looked so good, and it just made it concrete to me that there was still gonna be a 1d after zayn. and then “our brother zayn” happened, and i got super happy bc ot5, and that made it even better.
3) the 5 year anniversary: i was just super emotional about this, and actually really sad at well, but it wasn’t a heartbreaking empty chested kind of sadness, more just like sadness at all the good times that had already happened and all the things we’d never get back. liam and zayn tweeting each other made me happy, and i loved watching all the anniversary videos, and i just really enjoyed crying over the fact that these boys have all been in love with each other for five whole years.Â
4) the day after babygate happened: okay, this sounds like a weird one, but i’m talking about the part where we all collectively decided that 2015 had officially become Too Much, and we all pretended like it was 2012 for a good 12 hours. i loved seeing all the old memes come back and people reviving old posts and tweets and pretending like everything was fine again, and i still think that was probably the healthiest fandom coping method we’ve ever come up with. we should do that again sometime.
5) MY OTRA CONCERT: obviously this one is the best because i actually got to meet four of my five amazing boys, and tell them how much they’ve done for me, and give them the tightest hug i could manage. I’m honestly never gonna forget that day as long as live–not seeing them walk into a room for the first time and think oh shit they’re actually real, not liam putting his arm around me for the picture and calling me darling, not the hyperventilating, panicked, i-can’t-feel-my-arms-or-legs tears i shed when i walked out from backstage. and then the concert itself was beyond amazing–i screamed my heart out, and saw my sign on the screen, and heard fireproof, the song that kept me going through a good portion of my sophomore year, being sung to me by four boys and thousands of fans. that day was probably one of the best days of my life.
