San Lorenzo isn't only her home, it's also her prison. The town still needs her to protect the Arcanum and defeat the Bloodwolf if he ever returns. She's back to being a tool again. She has all of her autonomy stripped away from her.

Not only is Dulcinea forced to forget and be separated from Puss, she's also forced to never see him again.

I've always had this theory that Sino gave Dulcinea fake memories of being in San Lorenzo to hide that she's a tulpa. If my theory is confirmed to be true, then with all those fake and forgotten memories, it would make Dulcinea's whole entire life a lie. She wouldn't even be aware of this.

Dulcinea hates dishonesty. So if she ever got her memories of the past timeline back, she would be having an existential crisis. (I can kind of see her resenting Sino for this.)

Like maybe one of the Horsemen of the Apocalypse appears, and he interacts with Shrek and Donkey. Turns out this guy is a huge deathpuss shipper and he writes deathpuss fanfiction. He thinks death would be the one getting pregnant instead of puss.

When Shrek and Donkey find out about this, they also become deathpuss shippers. This is because they know puss is the only one insane enough to flirt with the embodiment of death. So they're like "Yeah that checks out." They begin thinking that puss and death are actually dating.
