Being abused at home, bullied at school and lost in the world, the library and all the books I could escape to the most amazing worlds, kept me alive!

I would walk to the library, and spend all day, from 10 am to 9 pm reading there!! I got special awards for how many books I read, I wrote little blurbs on why i loved the books (probably why I love to BETA and do ARCs)

As a 50 year old woman, the library offers me so much. Digital art pads to borrow, 3D printing, book clubs that are face to face (yeah, the introvert likes face to face because a moderator will stomp on anyone getting snarky)

New books in LARGE PRINT! I’m visually challenged and as much as I love my kindle, The feel of a real book in my hands will always be a beloved feeling!

Winged!Virgil because the mood struck me something fierce! 

hey so i need to recover from after shocks  by the lovely writers @themorethingschange. it was amazing, as always, and the scene with the boys doing art therapy is the only thing holding me together.

“…It’s not gray,” Remus mumbled into his smock once he had calmed somewhat. “I’m not sure what I’m feeling right now, but…it’s not gray.”

LOOK AT THEM!! Oh my god there’s so many things to adore about this, I need to break it down.

Logan! The STYLE! Oh he looks amazing! And the CIRCUITS?!? Perfect, like you walked through my brain to see what I saw. And his little FACE as he tries not to laugh?!? The BITING OF THE FINGER TO HOLD BACK A SMILE??? I CAN NOT EVEN.

Virgil! Oh my god I ADORE how you draw virgil he’s so good! And his expression?! That pure older sibling ENERGY?!? The VENGENCE in his eyes, you KNOW he’s about to make Remus pay! And speaking of which…

REMUS! I love how you draw him like a feral little goblin child, he is PERFECT and FLAWLESS and I JUST WANNA SQUISH HIS FACE!!!

You guys are so sweet! I know I’ve gushed about this series before, but I cannot overstate how impactful and beautiful your writing is! A lot is going on emotionally in the series since the second “dark side” showed up - and don’t get me wrong, I love angst and conflict (honestly more than I should), but there was something kind, inspired and soft about the paint scene.

It was really a therapy all and only for Remus, and it was so well done to have him break down his emotions into colors instead of words - I don’t know how to phrase it, but it was really some of the best and most intentional forms of comfort Remus could have had. The fact that it came from Logan was touching, and layered because of how it all kept coming back to interactions with Patton throughout.

Sorry if I’m going off too much or reading too far into it; I don’t want to go into too much more detail in case there are people who haven’t read the chapter or people thinking of getting into the series, but I do want to stress that this scene in particular stood out; you both handle coping/healing so well!
