                    “ ... ... rob. that makes NO sense. if y’can eat pineapple on its own, y’can eat pineapple ON pizza!”

                  kon made a sound at the back of his throat, something in between a grimace and a swallow. it was CLEAR tim wasn’t on the same page as he was, even if the embarrassment that gradually rose in the half-kryptonian’s face gradually became more OBVIOUS. “what i meant was like, y’know -- if y’could say it more often. though maybe not in a FIERCE way like y’do, but. it’s rad.”

                   call him self-obsessed if you will, but when kon wasn’t in his usual gear, often wore shirts with the s symbol on it. today was no exception. he’d been asked to keep watch over the base with bart, but the latter was clearly nowhere to be seen. tim was, surprisingly, not in, as he had offered to do the groceries instead of making bart or cassie do it ( given the fact that one of them was fast and the other was essentially an amazonian ) so it was up to him to answer the door when it rung. expecting tim at the door was hardly a surprise. what DID surprise him, however, was the small box in his hand. brows raised quizzically as he curiously opened the box after he opened the door a little wider so tim could enter, and while he was at first PUZZLED by the contents, only grinned in response a moment later. seeing as tim had now passed him in the walkway, kon turned around and elbowed him in the shoulder, the self-conscious grin on his face only widening. “is this a VALENTINE’S day gift, rob? i didn’ think you’d have gotten me ANYTHIN’ – but i like it. or are you tryin’ to tell me somethin’?”

                   “i don’t know -- i guess i kinda ... LIKE it?” if only 90s sitcoms were that INFORMATIVE to properly put into words what he properly felt!

                    “okay, yeah, that makes sense-- wait, weren’t you eatin’ a pineapple by itself once?! that doesn’t make any sense!”

                    “i didn’ say i didn’ LIKE it -- i jus’ said your VOICE goes all commander-like.” / @birburger idk what’s this

                    “yeah? we’ll see about that, you stinky trashcan! those people really thought you were superman but i s’pose between the two of us I’M the one who’s more like him! you’re just a fake!” with that, he threw the first punch, his superspeed closing the distance between them in a matter of seconds. “take THAT!”
