Hi! Im not sure if anyone remembers me, or how active this community is anymore, but I’ve recently returned to byler because the wound in my heart has NOT healed. In fact it is still gaping WIDE.

I’ve had a concept for a fanfic and I, a) wanted to see if anyone was interested, and b) was hoping for some support on where I could promote it? I’m considering twitter (never thought I’d say that) but anyway.

my concept is It’s the late 90s. Will and Mike haven’t spoken for years. Mike has gone through serious mental turmoil, addiction, and the death of his father and is currently on a road trip with the money his dad left him after refusing to leave Hawkins for years. Mike and Ted also had a huge fight before Mike left, but I’m keeping the details secret because I want it to have impact when (or if) anyone reads it! Will on the other hand, moved to New York and ended up with an abusive partner. After finally escaping , not without mental scarring, he travelled the country, settling in a small coastal town. Will has found success as an artist, and after years of no contact, Mike has been invited to Will’s exhibition….

This concept has made me feel so excited to write again!! Would anyone be interested, or have any ideas on where I should promote ??

oh gosh, it made me so happy and really set up my hopes for vol2! That paired with Mike always yapping about Will being a sorcerer…

then the rest of vol2 happened, he became a piece of cardboard (I’m hoping this will have a narrative reason just like his switch up in s3 and 4 did, but honestly, I’m losing hope for that too)
