all gleeks need to watch riverdale and all riverdalians need to watch glee because theyre spiritually the same show. theyre both the best, worst, and campiest show of all time simultaneously however that works

i dont really enjoy most blaine solos mostly due to my disliking of him but i adore some of his duets most notably love shack with mercedes and more than a feeling with tina those are certified bangers and he sounds amazing with them. those are peak blaine to me

the thing with the riverdale fandom is that its split into people who think riverdale s1-4 or even just s1 is the shows true form and everything after that should be disregarded because its insane nonsense and the people who appreciate the beautiful campiness of all 7 seasons and unfortunately that second ones population is a lot smaller

im sorry but wemma has got to be the worst written will they wont they of all time like in order to drag the romantic tension on that long there needs to be romantic tension in the first place and i just did not get any from them. also when carl shows up and proves to be literally husband of the year meanwhile will is like "he's winning!" and putting on a highly innapropriate musical just to spend time with her (top 5 episode btw but still) why are we supposed to be rooting for him again?? and dont even get me started on the proposal wtaf why was he dressed like the numbertaker and why was it in a highschool pool dude i dont even have ocd but i would have been disgusted. like these two just spend the entire show emotionally cheating on their partners but then when theyre actually together theres like 0 chemistry 0 communication nothing. also i find it hilarious how the "i dont care where we get married as long as we have each other" trope is so common in tv shows but will is like "no emma we NEED to get married at this exact place and time so that all my glee kids can be there. that is the most important thing obviously" and then he leaves all the wedding planning to her and its like holy shit no wonder she left him at the altar. and then they realise that despite being romantically involved for like 5 years they actually dont know shit about each other and decide they need to start from the beginning and actually get to know each other. what the hell were you guys doing this entire time?? and how much of this getting to know each other do we see exactly. NONE OF IT. NOT A SINGLE SCENE. the next time she shows up is in the s4 finale where they get married in the choir room but i struggle to see how anything has changed, how anything has been solved, the writers just expect you to take their word for it that theyre a perfect stable happy couple now. also i completely understand will being mad at finn for kissing her but hes not mad because finn made her uncomfortable and put her in this awkward position hes mad because he seems to think finn has a thing for emma and emma is HIS so he cant have that!! after the wedding emma gets demoted so bad she only appears in 2 episodes of s5, and not even in the one WHERE SHE GIVES BIRTH!! that was so wild to me like wemma has been a thing since a pilot theyre one of the show's main couples and them having a child together isnt treated as a huge plot point huhhh? its also just so annoying and borderline misogynistic like emma isnt much of a character outside being wills love interest and now that shes married him aka fulfilled her narrative purpose what use do we have for her. and yes wemma is far from being the only problematic couple, they all have issues but at least with like finchel their chemistry was just that good and also theyre literal teenagers so im a lot more forgiving. wemma to me just comes across like will seeing emma as a charity case, another thing he can fix to boost his own ego and she sees him as this perfect saviour who can cure everything "wrong" with her and thats just such an unhealthy foundation for a relationship. they had potential to be the epic slow burn romance the writers were clearly going for but alas were left with this frustrating mess instead
