You are the guardsman assigned to protect the eight-year-old Prince. You are currently in the middle of the forest because he absolutely had his heart set on "going hunting", and the royal second-grader should definitely not be traipsing around the woods on his own. You let him go a little on ahead and he comes running back talking about how there's a dead girl in the clearing and there's no-one else around and he wants to take her home because she's really pretty, Hans, and she's all alone!

You let him drag you to said clearing and okay, that is one angelic-looking dead child alright, and on the one hand the quality of her clothes and the craftsmanship on the coffin (who builds a see-through coffin?) speak to potential Consequences if you simply carry her off, but also for the amount of vines that have grown on the coffin she looks extraordinarily un-decayed, so you should probably get the court alchemist's opinion on that, and there's no way he's going to come all the way out here in his embroidered velvet curly-shoes. And also this kid is technically assigned by God as your natural superior, or something.

So fine. You hoist the coffin onto your shoulder (it's not like the Prince can do it. He's eight.) and head back toward the castle, Prince chattering blithely all the way. And then you turn your ankle on a rock and suddenly there's a thump and a cough and a lot of shouting from inside the coffin and you have now become a key player in a tense political incident with the next kingdom over.

After letting Snow White go, the huntsman decides he'd better skip town and moves to the next kingdom over. And he sees that the royal guard is hiring and what the hell, being part of the royal household might be an extra layer of protection from the queen back home.

So he's out in the woods with the Prince that day and dead girl in a glass coffin happens. And look maybe normally he'd leave this the fuck alone but uh. That's definitely Snow White.

Why da fuq do some of these annoying Tony stans think that every character from different stories would be on Team Iron Man and approve on the accords?! It’s bad enough that they make fanfics that twist, bash and warp Team Cap or any other character, and make Tony a victim and always right all the time, but they have to make crossovers where other characters would prop up Tony and bash on Steve and his team.

You got Naruto, My Hero Academia, Dragonball/Z/Super, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Supernatural, Bleach, How to Train your Dragon, Steven Universe, She-Ra, DC comics, Doctor Who, Lucifer, Sonic, even freaking Inside Out, just to name a few.

Honestly, though, one of the biggest reasons I’ve seen people hating on Cap is because of the whole “Winter Soldier killed Howard and Maria Stark and Steve said nothing about it.” Which, yeah, sucks, but I also don’t think he knew that exactly. He knew Hydra had them killed, sure, but he does explicitly say he didn’t know it was Bucky, so… Still not great?

Take all of this with a grain of salt, considering I’m biased and my all time favorite superhero ever has and probably always will be Iron Man. (Spider Man is a very close second tho)

As for why these fic writers do mental gymnastics trying to make reasons for their favorite characters to side with Tony? Wish fulfillment. That is literally it. It’s just the story they want to tell. You can do the exact same thing, and that’s perfectly fine! The thing to remember about fanfiction is that it’s written by those who do love the source material, in one way or another! It’s also completely free. They don’t get paid to write these stories, so they should be able to write their perfect fantasy. Everyone is allowed that.

My suggestion: Filter, filter, filter. There’s a lot of fics out there that just aren’t going to be your cup of tea, but it’s someone’s, so best to just ignore it and move on to things you actually care about. You’ll want to exclude Team Cap bashing and Team Iron Man, for starters. Honestly, go wild with it. Find your perfect story.

And thus, I give you an unholy combination of Demon Slayer and specifically the universe of Kimetsu Gakuen! I’ve been given the thumbs up by people who have watched the anime, so I think I’m doing good! Maybe. Possibly. There’s a chance.

Anyway-

Class 1-A and Aizawa and All Might (And Present Mic for reasons) take a field trip to Shiri Island to visit Kimetsu Academy for a bit, because Headmaster Ubuyashiki and Principal Nezu have struck a deal. There, they meet Class 1-1, who they are supposed to train with, and their homeroom teacher, Tomioka Giyuu.

Now, onto the storyline so far!

So, classes meet, and apparently Giyuu and Aizawa have the exact same teaching style. It’s honestly a little disconcerting for their students, seeing basically a clone of their homeroom teacher from another school.

Now, I am a fan of Erasermic, so obviously that a thing here, and it’s 100% the reason why Yamada is present, but I also have plans. See, Class 1-1 has been on a mission since the start of the semester, and they are not giving up easily. Their mission, you may ask?

Getting Mr. Tomioka and Mr. Rengoku together. (Rengiyuu shippers rejoice)

It’s been… Less than successful thus far, unfortunately.

What about the villains, I hear you asking. What are they up to?

So-

Demon abilities aren’t actually the same as quirks. One of them is a result of experimentation in an effort to cure a genetic condition, and the other is a result of evolution. Not that All for One is aware of this. He’s been hunting after Muzan’s “quirk” for the past few centuries, and is the whole reason demons haven’t expanded beyond Shiri Island.

They’ve been taking potshots at each other since the dawn of quirks, and while the heroes are getting their slice of life parent trapping experience, the villains are in an all-out war with each other. So much so that they don’t even have time to deal with the heroes.

Excellent.

So, Shiri Island has always been a very isolated island, even more so than usual, on account of their demon infestation and what not, so no one actually knows what all goes on there. The graduates of Kimetsu Academy don’t really leave the island either, so it’s almost like its own mini country. It even has its own ranking charts!

The Hashira each lead their own division on top of teaching at the Academy, though most administration is done by Ubuyashiki and his subordinates. The reason why the Hashira are required to teach at Kimetsu Academy is because the school serves as a training program and selection process for their various divisions. First years are usually subject to a number of screenings during their semesters, before beginning more specialized training in their second and third year. Moreover, they don’t really do sidekicks on Shiri. Everyone is under the Demon Slayer Corps, and while some less than pleasant individuals will claim that just means they’re all sidekicks to the Hashira, that’s not really how it works on the island.

I digress-

Now, demons aren’t publicly acknowledged. They’re treated as ordinary villains, albeit a lot more dangerous. Of course, this means the slayers can’t just behead them in broad daylight, so they’re all locked up in a prison deep inside Mount Fujikasane, under numerous layers of security, while Tamayo, who also serves as the school nurse, works on a cure.

So the school just has a massive prison behind it that also happens to double as the entrance exam location. Fun! That definitely won’t become a problem in the future. Definitely not.

I started this AU with a slice of life setting, but I like leaving myself options if I wanna change it up a bit. You know, just in case.

Speaking of wildly different settings-

I mentioned the villains being in a war, but I didn’t really elaborate on that. See, AfO has been after Muzan since the dawn of quirks because he wants the man’s quirk. Except it’s not a quirk. AfO is not aware of this, though.

And Muzan is using Infinity Castle to snipe at AfO when he least expects it. He’s not at all strong enough to go head to head with the boogieman of quirky society, so he either sends Kokushibo after him, or he messes with his Nomu research just because.
