FROST ARCHER.

                 They really are politically compatible in every sense, though --- even the updated lore makes a point of saying that  both of them  have been incredibly vocal of their criticism of Dema.cia’s past actions ( or, more specifically, lack thereof ) in particular, making it clear that they are both capable of understanding & thinking critically about all aspects of the political playing field.  Both of them  are clearly on the same page when it comes to the future of the Freljord; as my  thinly-veiled essay  made clear the other night, it really is pretty revolutionary that two people in a position of power can share an ideal that calls for cultural & political reform on that level, past experiences aside. With Ashe & Try.ndamere, any sort of romantic feelings are only an added bonus; even in the absence of it, there’s a connection & understanding there that motivates not only one another, but those that follow them. They consider each other  absolute equals  ; politically, intellectually, & emotionally. Platonic or romantic, it’s definitely a very important dynamic in Ashe’s life. 

               ASHE  is known to be incredibly calm in a crisis, & otherwise filled with so much passion that it almost seems too much for one person to contain --- but inwardly, she’s under constant stress & on persistently high alert. It’s pretty much impossible for someone in her position --- shouldering, with no exaggeration, the fate of her entire people --- to be anything but under constant pressure. There’s not many opportunities to relieve that stress, mostly because she’s so dedicated to throwing herself into any & all campaign efforts, leaving little time for herself. Still, she finds pleasure in the small things; reading for pleasure; the warmth spiced Freljordian brews always leave in one’s belly; the smell that permeates the air just before fresh snowfall; the sound of the sea crashing against the rocky shore, whenever she’s traveled close enough to the coast to listen; the rumble & roar of genuine, hearty laughter; the warmth that finally persists for more than a few hours during what passes as a Freljordian summer. Another activity she favors when stressed or overwhelmed is to make a list of all that she’s accomplished since forming the Avarosan tribe --- which essentially reads as a list of all of the things her kinsmen have chided her for striving towards, insisting they were impossible goals. As cliche & naive as it sounds, positive thinking does her wonders --- & seeing how each list grows longer & longer does even more.

                ASHE  has a heightened tolerance to the cold --- in fact, she pretty much thrives in it. Her political endeavors have given her reason to travel quite frequently, but many of those travels have been confined to the Freljord; although the climates do vary from region to region ( for how else would agriculture flourish ? ), it’s nowhere near the same climate as its neighbors. Still, she’d love an excuse to experience the weather that can be found throughout Valoran --- just because her  body  is more acclimated to the cold doesn’t mean she necessarily prefers it. It should be noted, however, that she would definitely have some coping to do upon spending time in a different climate; although the method of travel would give her time to adjust, her body would undergo a certain amount of stress common with such drastic changes in temperatures, including a brief ( but miserable ) bout of allergies.

                Also bear in mind that she became a warmother at only fifteen, & had her fair share of experience with combat --- both close-range & long-range --- even prior to this.

                 Bear in mind that Freljordian culture is still her culture, even if she wishes to disentangle the previously inseparable blend of culture & politics. She’s been raised to believe that every death should serve a purpose, & in terms of wildlife, that purpose is food & resources --- clothing, weaponry, tools & even shelters. She does not, however, treat hunting as a sport or frivolous activity, because it  isn’t  . Her tribe never hunts & kills more wildlife than they deem necessary, & use up every piece of their game. Beyond its practical use, however, a hunting party  does  fulfill some social needs; some of the strongest bonds within a tribe are formed during these outings, & they often serve as proving grounds for the tribe’s youth. In a similar vein, it isn’t unusual for one’s worth to be showcased in their amount of kills or encounters --- particularly if the animals are of the more ferocious or useful variety. In that regard, hunting can serve as a badge of honor --- but even so, the tribe is highly pragmatic with each kill. As you can imagine, the social worth stretches far beyond the actual hunting party; some of the best fireside stories throughout the Freljord begin with ‘ while on a hunt . . . ’
