this simone quote about limiting superstitions is so fascinating to me.

we have already established that jannik likes to be in control and superstitions are a kind of very arbitrary control but it can get out of hand pretty quickly. like the team not wearing white caps, jannik using the same locker or showering in the same stall, are simple and easy enough to do, but if they start piling up they can become a hindrance to the day-to-day and also to jannik's confidence.

so it's not a surprise they'd try to limit them but I'm more interested in 1) how do they identify them (can they smell it from miles away or do they come as a surprise and they have to deal with it) and, most importantly, 2) how do they stop it cause it can be soooo hard to let go of a superstition, specially if it keeps happening and "proving" itself. we'll never have those answers of course, but i am curious!
