I’m gonna say it. The faeries being mass produced in fantasy right now are just relabeled high elves and they’re not as cool.

The reason why so many of y'all's feminism sucks is because you still believe deep down in your hearts that there are only two kinds of people in the world: precious, ethereal, fragile dollthings called "women", and violent, lustful, rage-fueled apes called "men". Until you throw that idea away, 3rd-grade-tier "girls rule boys drool, girls are princesses and boys are stinky :(" is as feminist as we'll ever get-- and I hope it's obvious that that's lightyears away from the bare minimum of where we need to be.

isn't it crazy that a woman being gender nonconforming literally just requires her to exist in her own body without making any changes whatsoever. why does the fact that i don't wear makeup and i don't shave and i don't wear a bra have to be some political act. why can't i just fucking exist

The creature in the bog only ever sung at dusk; a low croon that harmonised with the frogs and the birds. I would sneak out to listen, and after some time I even sang along. Once, when the fog hovered over everything like a careful blanket draped over shoulders, I spotted him, a shape so strange I looked away again. The huntsman has told me not to approach the creature, tells me of all the people who have vanished into the bog, their skeletons appearing months later. I’m not scared of him, though. His voice has only ever sounded lonely, to me.
