Anas ibn Malik reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The scholars are the trustees of Allah over His creation.”

Dhurrah bint Abi Lahab reported: A man stood for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, while he was upon the pulpit, and he said, “O Messenger of Allah, who among people are best?” The Prophet said, “The best of people are the most to recite the Quran, the most fearful of Allah, the most enjoining of good, the most forbidding of evil, and the most to maintain family relations.”

Abu Umamah reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever is merciful, even as he slaughters his animal, then Allah will be merciful to him on the Day of Resurrection.”

Abu Sa’id al-Khudri reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever says, ‘I am pleased with Allah as a Lord, with Islam as a religion, and with Muhammad as a messenger,’ he must be given Paradise.”

Abu Hasbah reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Who is the true wrestler?” They said, “One who throws his opponent down.” The Prophet said, “The wrestler of all wrestlers is a man who is intensely angry, whose face turns red, and whose hair bristles, then he wrestles against his anger.”

Imran ibn Husayn reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “If you are angry, then sit down.”

Jabir reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Three are in the hypocrite: when he speaks, he lies, when he promises, he breaks it, and when he is trusted, he betrays.”

Shaddad ibn Aws reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, the first thing you will lose in your religion is the trust.”

Hisham ibn ‘Amir reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever accuses a believer of unbelief, it is as if he has killed him.”
