Anas ibn Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, would say in his supplications, “O Allah, I seek refuge in You from disability and sloth, cowardice and senility, hardness of heart and negligence, dependence and humiliation and misery. I seek refuge in You from poverty and unbelief, wickedness and discord, hypocrisy and fame-seeking and ostentation. I seek refuge in You from deafness and dumbness, insanity and contagion, leprosy and evil ailments.”

Muhammad ibn Hatib reported: A boiling pot was spilled on my hand, so my mother went with me to the residence of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. The Prophet spoke these words over it, “Take away the pain, O Lord of the people. Heal it, for You are the Healer.”

Anas reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “O Allah, nothing is easy but what You make easy, for You ease the grief of whomever You will.”

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever performs ablution in the best manner, then sets out but finds that the people had already prayed, then Allah Almighty will give him the reward of its prayer and its attendance without detracting from their reward at all.”

Hudhayfah reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “I have been given these last two verses of Surat al-Baqarah from the treasures beneath the Throne. No prophet has been given the likes of them before me.”

Abu Sa’id al-Khudri reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, Allah Almighty slowly draws near until the first half of the night has passed. Then, He orders a heavenly caller to say: Is anyone calling out that he may be answered? Is anyone seeking forgiveness that he may be forgiven? Is anyone asking that he may be given?”

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The Hour will not be established until a single prostration is better than the world and everything in it.”

Anas ibn Malik reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The scholars are the trustees of Allah over His creation.”

Dhurrah bint Abi Lahab reported: A man stood for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, while he was upon the pulpit, and he said, “O Messenger of Allah, who among people are best?” The Prophet said, “The best of people are the most to recite the Quran, the most fearful of Allah, the most enjoining of good, the most forbidding of evil, and the most to maintain family relations.”
