who is gonna tell them kpop stans used to get mp3 from k2nblog and spotify wasn't a thing in 2012. stans would instead learn how to stream on melon. there was even a big stink once someone exposed some site, melon, bugs or genie, wouldn't even count streams that came from non-sk location ip... i'm pretty sure spotify created their first official kpop playlist in 2014. their impact on kpop wasn't really felt until i would say 2017-2018. to be fair i don't remember when they added kpop to the catalogue. itunes is older than spotify you could use their metrics instead really

#there also used to be devices where you could actually listen to the cds in the album #instead of them just being fun lil add ons to your photocard blind boxes
