Anyone else have good parents but the only caveat is that they demoralize you for your interests and hobbies, not being able to afford a car, and taking academic precautions like only taking 2 classes this fall semester bc you know that anymore runs the risk of not being able to mentally keep up in the midst of a global pandemic, or not having a girlfriend bc you think relationships are expensive and require more emotional investment than you are even capable of giving yourself. And there are times where being in their very presence suffocates you to the point where you feel a blockage in your throat chakra even though you don't even believe in chakras, like it's that bad, and you feel like you have to water down your personality bc you know they would never accept the real you and Everytime you give them a glimpse it's really just to keep up the illusion that you are ok. And at this point you cant be candid with your mom bc she always tells your dad the same thing and you end up getting in trouble or he gets mad at you. On to of that they follow you on every social media except for tumblr and twitter and when you post a drawing or caption, they are likely to misinterpret it an end up saying something that makes you take the post down and so now all you have left is tumblr and twitter and it doesn't help that you overthink about all the ways your parents are disappointed in you which spikes your cortisol levels and if you decide one day to be completely transparent whatever little respect they have for you.
