over the past month i’ve managed to watch a substantial amount of ewan’s projects as such i have some thoughts i would like to share with you all. i’ll focus solely on ewan’s character and performance for most of these not because i don’t have other thoughts about the film but because i would like for us to stay on topic x ill add onto this post once i watch more of his stuff

everyone agrees that he looked absolutely delicious in this one i mean of course. what a debut mama. kind of obsessed with the fact that alex’s idea of fun inexplicably includes doing drag like miss girl #genderexpression! we love. he does an amazing job at playing a huge bitch and i actually think that’s soo important

trainspotting (1996) | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

ewan’s critical peak of course.. his best performance maybe ever question mark? he really was the people’s esoteric princess AND liam gallagher and damon albarn’s spiritual third like omg!! whore. i love you and your ratty little crop top and your slutty little earring. rip mark renton you would’ve loved to have a penjamin + your bisexual vegetarian ass would’ve made a beautiful he/they barista. anyways what can i say that hasn’t already been said

brassed off (1996) | ⭐️⭐️

our first mcflop (mcgregor flop) of the night . he wasn’t bad or anything it’s just crazy that he’s listed first on letterboxd out of the cast when his character literally doesn’t do anything he just sits around looking mad asf. but he’s very handsome in this one + he has another slutty earring so he still gagged me. i did find it kinda funny how everyone else in the mine was like 40+ except for him like omg andy you should be at the club!!!!

a life less ordinary (1997) | ⭐️⭐️⭐️

all he had was an ugly haircut an uglier shirt a novel in the works and a dream . he’s genuinely soo pathetic in this he’s either getting beat up or getting shot or getting threatened or sobbing like i’m crying they worked tf out of her she can barely smile !! unironically such a sweetie if albeit very stupid and misguided. cameron diaz kiss w spit trail you will ALWAYS be famous.

velvet goldmine (1998) | ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

WIGGGGGGGG oh gay4pay ewan the clocks you’ll gag !!! absolutely changed lives this was the role that got me hooked.. again for some reason letterboxd insists he’s the main star he’s literally not he’s in half of the film if you’re being generous but that’s fine because the film on its own is amazeballs . but ewan is so fierce in this omg..

moulin rouge! (2001) | ⭐️⭐️⭐️

i don’t mind baz lurhmann’s style and i myself am a big fan of maximalism in film but this was genuinely incomprehensible the first time around . but that’s besides the point omg christian !!! sweetie PIE … work those pipes mama. ewan why don’t you.. call nicole up

such a nasty grubby little flick . kind of unironically misogynist lol ? but i can admit he was very handsome and very tantalizing in this. there’s some deleted narration from him that i found very interesting.. anyways i put a lot of effort into this custard and you’re going to eat it

big fish (2005) | ⭐️⭐️⭐️

forrest gump if it was um. well i oughta they have the exact same target demographic. anyways i dont like tim burton’s style i never have but he’s very sweet in this. he’s not in it that much but when he is he’s a wonderful manic pixie dream girl
