Made this tonight. The lady teaching explained this is a neckleck that is given to new mothers and teachers. There are seven sets of shells in each row as it is to represent seven generations of education. Their tribe (so sorry I can't spell the name and I don't want to ruin it) believes that it will remind the person wearing it that they are educating seven generations to come after them. The three rows is the living, the present, and the future. She told me I must make this for myself as it will remind me of just how important my role as a mum truly is.
