I'm going to say something controversial, which is that Harris is canonically NOT a plus sized character. I don't know where this idea of him being fat or plus sized or a bear came from. The descriptions of him in the book say he's stocky and maybe a little pudgy compared to the professional athletes he's surrounded by, but he's certainly not plus sized. The cover art for Role Model shows him with a tiny bit of a stomach but that's it.

I'm plus sized myself, so I'm certainly not against the idea of more romances having fat leads, and I would have been happy if that's the direction they'd gone. But all this outrage feels like fandom just mass hallucinated representation that didn't exist and then got mad when it wasn't real. Yes it would have been cool, but you can't get mad at the show runners when you made it up in the first place?

Normally I don't say this, but I trust Jacob Tierney and the creators on this show. The HR adaptation is in many ways better than the book it's based on. There are plenty of changes that people love because they saw they show first (think Svetlana), and we need to trust that season 2 will be the same. We're just coming at it with expectations this time. Don't let those expectations ruin your experience, especially if they are fandom headcanons that were never real in the first place.
