thinking about loop traveling with the party post-canon on siffrin’s insistence and every time loop sees siffrin have a good moment w his friends (he’s trying really hard to communicate and all!) loop gets pissy bc they’re miserably jealous, so siffrin starts second guessing himself and trying NOT to be too happy as to not make loop sad, but then loop just feels guilty too, so basically everyone’s miserable
sif + loop dynamic is baffling on many levels but this bit of it is very obvious, which makes everyone kinda hate loop, like no wonder siffrin struggled so much in the timeloops if their only company was this bitch who hates to see siffrin making progress and being loved? which of course makes it that much worse for loop in a rapidly deteriorating feedback loop (lol).
plus now siffrin is desperately trying to run interference on top of everything else they’re dealing with, like guys loop is also going through it worse than i am pls be patient, no i can’t tell you anything about what their deal is and why it means they’re lashing out at me. which is honestly the only thing keeping the atmosphere remotely civil, not bc siffrin is convincing anyone of anything, but bc no one wants them using up their emotional energy on the pathetic attempts.
