i didnt really end up caring too much for ghost trick but once in a while i still think yomiel shouldve been disabled
its really unfortunate that its hard to make dreamer friendshiptest look cool because her initial appearance in the game is so impactful and menacing but the only visual representation you really get of them is. light bulb

oh yeah also i recently found out that the invisible item dreamer gives you during the nightmare emulation flashback sequence has this description which. guh

Dreamer and Pixels are such sad characters man. What if you had trouble socializing and expressing yourself and even your sister doesn't pay much attention to you so you create an "imaginary" friend who is unbothered and outgoing and confident and cares so much about you despite you being "boring".
And now your sister Does pay attention to you but only because she's concerned about your friend holding you back from socializing with "real" people and acting out of line so she encourages you to push them away and suppress them. So you do that and you try to be "normal" but it just makes you feel worse and worse until you loose yourself. And when you finally accept your friend as being important and a part of you she's once again torn away from you and most other people don't think she's a real life form to be concerned about.
Unlike Dreamer, Pixels is loud and draws attention towards itself and makes itself known but it gets squashed over and over and everyone considers its' existence a bother at most.
i love this moment because its very sweet but also. this is a murder trial.

post game tori needs to play gates to infinity so bad
story about finding trust and community in a world full of largely distrustful pokemon who think everyone is out for themselves and enact that same mindset onto others? two of the main characters are broken up friends which causes one of them to resent friendship and be cold towards other pokemon until she tags along with the main team for a while and learns to open up and let go? the post game plot literally concludes with the partner wishing for the hero to come back but only under the condition that they get the choice to travel between the human and pokemon world at their own will??? this shit would hit so hard for her

The most obvious contrast between Tori and Nick is that she wants to leave the old organisms' harmful legacy behind and the harm she causes largely isn't physical, whereas Nick wants to follow their footsteps and is willing to resort to violence for it. But what particularly hits hard for me are the differences between them that show in each of their final confrontations with FriendProgram, when Tori recognizes the harm she has caused them.
"You made her kill them. Not because you cared, just because you wanted to see them dead. And you would manipulate anyone to get what you want. You are a monster. You hated them so much? They had every reason to hurt you. They wanted to fix you."

"You didn't make me do anything. I made the choice. The old organisms deserved that death, you were right for wishing for their demise. And I made you feel like a monster for that. There is no excuse for how I treated you. None at all. There is nothing wrong with you."
