Like, it's bad enough for one character to get raped. Now you have another, in the same situation, but also potentially with both blaming themselves / seeing themselves as a rapist? Or feeling like the other is the perpetrator and then feeling awful about that because it was just as bad for them? Flinching from them in the aftermath even though they know it's not their fault?
The hurt, the angst, the complicated recovery... you can get a lot out of this trope. (You know, provided you're comfortable with writing it. I'm still working on that part.)
