a real nightmare.

          ‘  leave  —  leave  me ALONE  !  is  that  seriously  so  hard  to  do  ?!  ’   find  her  nearly  yelling  ,  near  screeching  at  the  other  in  the  LOUD  bustling  hallways  of  gallagher  .  voice  is  trembling  and  she  looks  just  about  ready  to  pull  a  weapon  on  the  other  ,  body  running  in  OVERDRIVE  ;  she’s  been  doing  nothing  but  throwing  glances  over  her  shoulder  after  the  COLE CONNER  incident  ,  and  seeing  sympathetic  glances  shot  towards  her  is  enough  to  spark  her  up  .  ‘  i  don’t  want  ANYTHING  to  do  with  that  s  -  stupid  freakin’  double  agent  !  ’ 

“you should be kind of impressed.” she says seriously. “i mean, he never even told you, and i’m sure he told you he loved you.” sure, maybe evie was picking at a wound right now, but the human condition was still a fascinating one, (even if she hated most of them). “he would’ve been a terrible husband though...”

sulking was what emir did best. especially when everything felt too overwhelming to handle. he stopped going to classes, ignored his parents’ calls, ignored everything. all he wanted to do now was hide away with zane, but sometimes even that felt too heavy on his chest. so, he decided to spend some time alone. outside. in one of the gardens. he sat there eating his sandwich, and when he heard footsteps, he hardly even looked up. though he was quick to dry any of the tears that had stained his cheeks in his time alone with his thoughts. 

evie likes to pretend shes entirely emotionless, but she wasn’t born without a heart. it had taken a long time to be has hard as she was, but it didn’t mean she was going to ignore someone crying. sure, it was annoying, especially with all that had happened, but it wouldn’t hurt to just... sit next to someone. “all the cafe had was apples. i think i missed the pudding.”

“last i knew, you were french,” evie dedpans, “and any of the idiots that were even caught weren’t nearly as smart as anyone in england... so that’s an asbolute shit idea.”

       it’s  simple  ,   what  the  two  of  them  have  -  though  she’s  pleased  to  have  the  other  within  her  grasps  .     ‘  hmmm  -  but  they  aren’t  wrong  about  the  trouble  ,   are  they ?  ’   suzume  muses  ,   turning  to  the  other  to  leave  a  linger  kiss  on  the  corner  of  her  mouth  .    ‘  think  of  this  way :   definitely  a  threat  ,   you  were  just  talented  enough  to  evade  the  secret  keeper’s  gaze  .  ’  

“i guess not.” she replies easily, turning her head slightly to capture her lips for only a moment. what she had with suze was easy, and right now, she liked easy. it was also a plus that suze was more than tolerable, and they were alike, “this is going to cause more trouble than the fun it’s worth.”

“If I want to die, I’d like to die after I’ve graduated, while I’m out on the field. Not when I’m still in a school that’s supposed to fucking protect me.” She’s sick and tired of people thinking all of this is normal. Nothing about it is okay. None of these students are spies yet - none of them have graduated yet. “Oh, what a relief, no one fucking remembers. But that’s not even why I’m pissed.” She rolls her eyes. None of the information in her entry is new information, anyway. Anyway, she gives the other her bottle, because she’d welcome the company of someone who’s as bitchy as her, especially right now.

“so, if this doesn’t have you angry, what does?” she questions seriously, taking a swig from mira’s bottle before passing it back, “i just think it’s a little ridiculous that we expect these people to protect us. we’re more trouble than it’s worth, and so are they. it’s not switzerland.”

      “Boring? Have you read the entries?” Aidan raises his brows — he’d have thought that Evie would have been delighted with the whole thing. “Yes, well, they’re still people.” He sighs, shrugging. “Spies or not.”

“of course i’ve read them,” evie explains, “and i’m keeping mental notes for later. but there’s an issue because there’s no use for it right now and now that it’s not a secret, anyone can do anything, so we let the cards fall.” she explains, shrugging, “we’re not very good people though, are we? i don’t care if i am, but many a facade has been destroyed.”

“Was, he’s dead.” And had been for oh, four or so years now. It wasn’t a fresh wound, so he wasn’t going to weep… Not like he ever wept for Stephen Brandt. His father was ambitious and cold. Two things that left him feeling more like he was a distant relative than a paternal figure. “I’ve known the firm was corrupt forever. Lawyers, you know.” Did he hate that was the reason Gigi got attacked? Yes. But it was in the past. She was fine. She got the attention.

“people die” she surmises easily, hoping he’s not looking for sympathy. she, after all, was in the market to murder her own parents once she got her comeuppance. “sure. lawyers. i could give a fuck.”

      “So… ‘Nothing big’, huh?” Aidan quotes from her section, raising an eyebrow. “Seems like you got off lucky.” // @evangelinepurnell​

evie shrugs, though she knows she’s bothered over it. sure, she hasn’t done anything worthwhile since she’s been here, but she had her plans. “everyone here is fucking boring.” she mumbles, playing with her butterfly knife, “they’re all cute and happy and dating like they’re not in a spy school. maybe this is the dose of reality i wanted”

evie had disliked gallagher almost from the moment her feet came through the door, but right now, she was somewhat surprised in what a few months could do to the state of this place. she hated the happiness, the way everyone was involved with people. like they even had a chance at true love being in the positions they were all in. passing everyone in the hall with somewhat of a smile on her face, she has to backtrack when she sees parker, seemingly unbothered by the whole ordeal. she wondered if she could make him a little more miserable too.

“what’s got you so happy? isn’t your dad a slag or something?”

“What? Never seen anyone drinking a bottle of fucking whiskey on their own?” she spats, already tipsy. She’s sitting by herself on the roof with a bottle of whiskey because she never copes with anything the right way. After the burn book leaked, Mira’s not just her usual angry, no, she’s enraged. She’s ready to beat the shit out of whoever compiled this thing. Reading about her own father being ex brotherhood managed to make her vulnerable again. She already thought she’s coped with this last year when the email leaked, but apparently not. She didn’t read everything in the book because Landon’s page was enough to make her throw her phone away in shock. To say she was upset about it would be an understatement. “Who knows if we’ll survive this shit hole?” She offers the bottle. “If you’re not joining, get out of my face.”

“I was only here to join,” Evie says easily, “and if we don’t survive, what’s the big deal? we’re trained to be spies mira, which means we’re going to die sooner rather than later.” she explains, “and i don’t even fucking remember what that book said about you, and who gives a damn. more drinks for me.”

Evie wouldn’t have known any different if it wasn’t for the notifications blowing up on her phone. Moving herself from Zu’s chest only briefly to reach her phone, she can’t help the laugh that comes out when she sees the page. “Look at this.” She mutters, only until she gets to her own descriptor. “Wait, i’m not a threat?”

        “ HEY.  HEY. ”   caden calls loudly, trying to get the other person’s attention. as if publicly being outed as a murderer wasn’t bad enough, president sutton thought him and the others should be punished further. her brilliant idea ?   community service.   “ you’re stepping on some shit, ”   caden uses the stick in his hand   ( a tree stick, since apparently at gallagher you don’t get one of those trash sticks like criminals on the side of the road, so he had to make due )   to motion to their foot. it’s not actual shit, to be fair, but some kind of trash.   “ you mind ? ”    @gallagherstart​

Usually, Evie would find herself annoyed at someone saying stupid shit to her. Trash was rampant on this side of campus, and looking at the person who was cleaning it, she realized exactly what it was for (and how she could put them to use.) “I do mind. I have questions.”

“you can negotiate all you want,” they replied, feeling pride when she put her knife away. “if i start charging one white kid a lower price, i gotta charge all the white kids a lower price, and then that kinda defeats the point of the white tax. ya know?”

She laughs, a genuine laugh. She had to admit, his business plan was genius, in a sense, especially assuming most of the general population was a lot more accepting than she is. “my parents are from Argentina, you absolute idiot.”

He wanted to tell her that it wasn’t easy, that it took him seven months to do it. Though when he compared it to the fourth years and probably Kass Sutton, he probably did make it seem easy. “I get it,” he said. “I would want to meet them too, just to see how they did it. Because I need to know.” 

“I think we all need to know.” Evie surmises, not exactly admitting that she needed to unlock her inheritance before she got rid of her parents. If she didn’t have that, she’d be stuck in the US for the foreseeable future... and she didn’t want that. “I still think it’s a student.”

Parker walked around the gym a couple of times to make it seem like he had meant to be there and was just doing laps. A habit he usually had after doing a few fight club rounds, had to keep that secret. Glancing over as he saw someone in his path, he gave a half nod, “Hey.” closed @evangelinepurnell​

Evie did her best to skirt on the outside of things, so when a large, hulking student approached beside her, she had half a mind to sigh loudly. “Hey? What kind of greeting is that? Do I know you?”

SHE WONDERS IF SHE’S A COMPLETE IDIOT, how easy she’d be to hack since she’s mostly been living fairly ‘ normal ‘ up until gallagher. then again she’s not got anything to hide — her parents maybe but that’s not her business. “ kind of fucked to think it could be that quick. impressive, though. ” from the hackers’ point of view, she’s sure. brows lift together at her next statement. “ and someone’s done it . . do you think it’s more likely a student or faculty ?  ” it’s times like this she wishes she wasn’t so stubborn so she could just snoop by asking her mom. 

Evie had her own experiences hacking, it is what got her kicked out of her fancy prep school (along with some knife wielding, but she had done that wrong, too,) “like I said, it’s all dependent on how dumb your person is. if they make their password, simply password, it’s quite easy... it’s one of the first options decrypting... these servers though? Much more complicated. Extreme walls to bypass, several security factors and passwords... but I still have a gut feeling it’s a student.”
