We as a fandom need to talk more about Sarah Nelson and how much she must struggle with the conflict between Nick and David. Yes David says terrible things that she couldn’t disagree more with, but at the end of the day he is her son and she loves him even if she is disappointed in how he ended up. But she also knows she is hurting Nick by trying to keep some sort of relationship with David, because it means taking him in when he needs it despite how he berates Nick for his queerness and “softer” personality while he stays there. And not to mention Charlie, who Sarah absolutely sees as a son, and how David hurts him, both because of his comments directly to Charlie and because of how much it pains Charlie to see Nick distraught after almost all of their interactions. Once they are both out of the house it’s obviously far easier to keep her relationships with them separate, but I think she’ll always feel a bit guilty for still caring about David, even if that’s what a good parent does, because of how he hurts her other 2 sons.

The loss of my life is that we never got to see my queen Sarah Nelson give Nick a sex talk because I know the scene/comic pages would’ve been touching and hilarious and supportive and just overall perfect

After much internal debate over whether I’m more like Charlie or Tori, I have simply decided that I’m an honorary Spring sibling.

Everyone else in the Heartstopper-verse is so lucky comic and show/movie Narlie are pretty reasonable about their relationship cause there is 100% a universe where they’re the couple who elopes the second both of them are 18.
