Things are tense after Mai was brought back to the base. Making it obvious that she doesn't enjoy having to stay at the base, which is putting it lightly, Kyoko and Haru get caught in the crossfire that is the redhead's bad mood.
Sasha seems to suddenly notice something, kisses the back of Renas hand and smiles.
"My apologies darling but there is a Damsel in distress I need to rescue." he says with a flourish and seems to run into some direction.
"What's it this ti-" before Rena can finish her sentance she sees Alexander run straight at Hibari and Kana, her face growing pale, while Mascha just a few fet next to her gets excited and claps happily into her hands.
"SAVE HER SASHA!" she cheers while Rena quickly runs to follow and stop him.
"NO! ABSOLUTELY DO NOT!!"
But it's too late.
He manages to swoop between the two fighters, hands on Kanas shoulders as he turns them away from Hibari and behind him. He stares daggers at Hibari.
"How dare you attack an innocent girl like this?! Have you no shame?! You wretched villain! She is a young woman! How could youattack an innocent frail being like that?! You're not a man! You have no honor!"
Rena stops in her tracks completely shocked.
"Dima! Get him out of there!"
"Not my Division." the bodyguard answers in russian, appearing out of thin air as usual only for Rena to screech in distress and grab into her hair out of frustration.
"Someone stop him, he's going to get killed!"
Kana is glad that there's a tool around that can be used, so she was able to go home earlier that day.

OH MY GOD CHIBI VERSIONS OF MY RUSSIAN BABIES?! I AM GONNA LOSE MY MIND!!! AAH! I absolutely adore that Kana just uses him like a ragdoll, please keep it going, he deserves it. At least Masha thinks so. And she could not be more amused over the result of her dumbass brothers white knighting. If it was up to her, he could easily use Sasha every time he is around.
Also everything about just Kana being Kana. I love his attitude. Also never not gonna be funny to me that he and Hibari constantly fight. I love them your honor, they are my emotional support frenemies to lovers. I wonder if there are any such situations in canon where people get unfortunately caught up in those two fight and run game of tag. I bet it happened to Tsuna at least once. It's always such a damn treat to see your OCs shinenigans and I am so happy I could help contribute to one such funny moment.
For Day 6 I decided to explore the relationship of Mai's parents a bit more, how they met and how their lives intertwined.

Akihito and Chihiro are high school sweethearts and met during their third year at Namimori High.
Chihiro was part of the student council and frankly, quite the push-over. She took on several tasks, saying she was fine with it, but inwardly was very much annoyed by it.
Akihito at that time didn't much care about anything. His father had died due to lung cancer shortly before he started his third year of school and he ended up skipping a lot of classes and started underage smoking.
Being the same age, he had known of Chihiro's existence but mostly knew her as a well-behaved, quiet girl. After they met, where she let through a different side of her, his interest was peaked.
Chihiro's the youngest daughter of her family, with 3 much older, seemingly successful brothers and a very conservative mother. Essentially, the pressure by her mother was very suffocating, telling her that she will only make something of herself if she either marries rich or becomes a nurse/lawyer.
With Akihito approaching her multiple times and for the first time in her life asking her what she actually wants instead of what she should want, she actually felt like she and her feelings mattered.
They started to spend more and more time together, mostly at Akihito's place. His mother wholeheartedly welcomed her, so Chihiro felt more at home than at her own place.
A few months before their graduation, Chihiro's parents disclosed that they will leave Namimori because of her father's work. However, Chihiro didn't want to leave the place she grew up in as well as the person she slowly started to fall for.
A dispute including both families ended in Akihito basically asking for Chihiro's hand in marriage. They didn't need to get married immediately, but his proposal was sincere. They were both of age and since her father had a soft spot for his only daughter, as well as seeing that Akihito was serious, allowed it.
Her father also allowed for his daughter to stay in Namimori with Akihito's mother already accepting Chihiro as her soon-to-be daughter in law agreed.
They both graduated and started going to university to study for their respective careers. Close to Chihiro graduating and becoming a teacher however, she got pregnant. It was absolutely unplanned and yet another hurdle in their life, but Akihito promised he would do anything to support his now wife so they, along with their unborn child, will be able to live a happy life.
