Bladerunner 2049 has one of my favourite types of heroes.

The tragedy of an unknown hero is the definition of human life. The majority of us will have contributed to the world’s existence in a great many ways, but most of it will remain unknown.

We will die and be soon forgotten, but without us, the world would be entirely different. It would cease to exist completely.

When I think of Joe, I think of all the construction workers, healthcare assistants, farmers, drivers. I don’t think of the famous and the rich; I think of all the unknown thanks to whom the famous and the rich could be created in the first place.

One of my favourite exchanges from Star Wars: The Clone Wars. I have to admit it made me cry.

Even if we don’t feel tough, we can act tough. We can use the resources we have to get through adversity.

There are many things in life we don’t get to choose.

Our parents, the way we are raised, the trauma we suffer. Our choice is taken away from us many times.

Anakin Skywalker is my all-time favourite character, because he’s someone who has always defied his fate and struggled his way through life despite it being the worst tragedy in cinematic history.

Even after he got deceived, even after he fell, there was this spark of life still burning within him, always. He truly lived the essence of life as it is - immense suffering and immense love.

I never asked for a miracle.

I will never turn to the dark side.

I am a Jedi, like my father before me.

I hope you live a life you’re proud of.

I am the master of my fate,

I am the captain of my soul.

I’ll get through the hard times.
