everything will probably be fine but i have to get really anxious just in case
Favourite Zoro x Nami touchy rescues in the anime:
Alabasta
Skypia
Foxy Pirates
Idk it feels as if those touchy rescues have gotten fewer and fewer as we went on -.- Not rescues per se but just the touchy ones.
I miss writing, and I really hope I find my way back to it soon /:
Here are two 19th Century “cross written” letters. Cross writing was a technique to save paper when paper was scarce. Every scrap mattered at one time (one of these is dated 1823) so the writer, upon reaching the end of the page, would turn the paper 90 degrees and add a second layer of text. Once it becomes familiar, the mind adapts easily and cross written letters are surprisingly legible. Charles Darwin famously used the technique.

proof that Zoro was also watching over Nami when she was sick :)
I loved that they kept this in the anime 🧡 I don’t know how accurate the English subtitle translation is but in the anime he adds a „She is fine here“ after telling Luffy to go have a look. My ZoNa shipper heart always translated this to „She is fine here while I am watching over her“.
Protective Zoro is my favourite Zoro.
breakfast of champions
The face Zoro makes when Nami comments on his muscles:
That's the surprised but pleased face of a man. It's like he's thinking " so you did noticed my muscles!!".
And it's a nice parallel to the scene Zoro & Nami met on season 1 where the first thing he tells her is this:
THIS and I also like how she worded it. Muscles. Not great strength or something. Giant muscles.
And Zoro's reaction is peak man brain reaction. Didn't hear anything else but the part about his muscles. My God.
ZoNa moments in Episode 6:
Zoro being protective and stressed out — a story in 3 screenshots
- Zoro drawing his sword and stepping closer to deflect more bullets after Vivi was shot:
- Zoro looking at Nami and wanting to join the climb to Drum Castle
- Zoro staring out the window, hating it to have stayed back, unable to help and not knowing what is going on:
Joke so bad the animation went to shit

I could've made sushi with that. One Piece, 2.05 Wax On Wax Off
Favourite ZoNa OPLA moments so far (I've finished epiode 4):
Nami doubting her navigation skills and Zoro standing right behind her (framing her during this shot) and reblying to her "I am so out of my element" with "Out of our element is when this crew does its best work" and then looking at her. And she smiles just enough to let us know she appreciated him saying that.
Zoro basically asking her to let him handle / trust him with the "we are stuck inside a whale"-situation, because in his head it's either her or him, who can handle it. No questions asked.
Zoro not knowing what "uvula" means and concluding that it must be a "girl whale" then ... why is he like that?!☠️😭
The "Giant muscles" and "Not not a compliment" moment. That was flirting, right? Right?
Nami telling him to be careful in Whiskey Peak and him giving her his promise.
Nami trying to brush off the colour on his leg and he starts to giggle and admitting that he is ticklish, omg. He wasn't himself but he was also endearingly cute, not gonna lie.
So far I am quite pleased that they continued with their relationship the way they portrayed it in season 1. It is a much more mature take than in the manga (I've never been a big fan of Nami's blackmail tactics, for example) and for me it works.
Some of my favourite little ZoNa moments from the manga/anime didn't make into the show BUT at least we are getting different ones, which focus on the mutual understanding part of their relationship.
