I started this blog to document my life. I also want to be part of the studyblr community, but online communication makes me quite nervous - I can only play chess in-person because of this! :( so I'm also hoping to overcome that fear.

Degas's Father Listening to Lorenzo Pagans Playing the Guitar, Edgar Degas, about 1869-1872

i thought this painting was quite touching. Degas' most famous work is probably his ballerinas, or maybe his horses, and iirc he didn't really sell personal portraits like this. it was so lovely to see his father through his eyes, remembered in a soft moment <3
