bullet journal spread, term three week eight
hiya pals! hope yāall r doing great!!!! sending lots of love and positivityĀ āĀ hang in there for the rest of the week! itās gonna b difficult but yes you can!!Ā
I can relate to this
What happens once you kill yourself? Because I'm ready to go.
You wanna know what happens once you kill yourself? Your mother comes home from work and finds her baby dead and she screams and runs over to you and tries to get you to wake up but you wonāt and she keeps screaming and shaking you and her tears are dripping onto your face and your dad hears all the screaming and runs into the room and he canāt even speak because the child that he loved and the child that he watched grow up is gone forever and finally your little sister runs into the room to see what all the fuss is about and she sees you dead. The person she looked up to and loved. The person she bragged about to Ā her friends, the person she wanted to be just like when she grew up, the person that made her feel safe. But sheās never really going to get to grow up and smile and laugh and love because sheāll always be consumed with this feeling of missing you. And now thereās something missing from your family and they can barely look at each other anymore because everything reminds them of you but youāre gone and hurts more than anything. and you think that your mom never cared because she was always busy and yelling at you to finish your homework and clean your room and forgot to say I love you sometimes but really, she loved you more than anything and she doesnāt leave the house anymore, she canāt even get out of bed and sheās getting thinner and thinner because itās too hard to eat. Your father had to quit his job and he doesnāt sleep anymore, every time he closes his eyes he sees his baby dead, and the image never goes away no matter how much alcohol he drinks. And at school your best friend sees that your seat is empty and she gets this sick feeling in her stomach and thatās when she hears the announcement. You killed yourself. And suddenly sheās screaming and crying in the middle of class and no one even bothers comforting because theyāre all Ā busy sitting there staring at your empty seat with tears dripping down their cheeks and all she wants is for you to hug her and tell her itās gonna be okay like you always did, but this time, youāre not there to do it, everything is dark now that youāre gone and her grades are slipping, she barely goes to school anymore and she ended up in hospital after taking too many pills because she wanted to see you again. the girls who used to make fun of the way you dressed feel their throats get tight, they donāt talk to each other anymore, they donāt talk to anyone, theyāre all in therapy trying so hard not to blame themselves but nothing works. and your teacher who always gave you a hard time stares blankly at the wall, she quits her job a few days later. And then your boyfriend hears the news and he canāt breathe, he still calls you a lot just to hear your voice and he talks to you on facebook but you never message him back, he canāt fall in love again because every girl he meets reminds him of you, heās never going to get over you, he loved you and he cries himself to sleep every night, hating himself and slicing his skin because he couldnāt save you and heās never going to hold you in his arms or hear you laugh again. Now everyone who knew you, whether they were a big part of your life or someone you passed in the hallway a few times a week, they carry this aching feeling around inside them because youāre gone, and they miss you, and they donāt know why you left but it mustāve been their fault and they shouldāve stopped you and they shouldāve told you they loved you more and that feeling is never going to go away. And so you killed yourself
but you killed everyone else around you too.Ā
this need to be on everyoneās blog
this makes me think..
God bless whoever wrote this.
im crying
I never usually reblog things like this.. but if it saves just one persons life⦠please take thime to read this even if you think there is no point in living. Please.
This actually just made me cry
This made me cry so bad⦠Guys please TAKE YOUR TIME TO READ THIS.
reblogging until my fingers break, this needs to get around
letās face it: sometimes, there are a ton of things weād rather do instead of studying. and sometimes, itās so so easy to succumb to these distractions because⦠!?!?!?Ā for this next addition to the #studyingwithacdemic masterpost series, here are my personal tips for distraction-free studying.
iāve always had this super bad habit of leaving things last minute because i⦠have zero self control. i end up being distracted by tumblr, youtube, online shopping, searching up random things, who even knows?! but recently, iāve been teaching myself to get better at studying with nO dISTrACTioNS.
i know, it sounds like a distant, far-off dream.
but here we go!
clean up your space.Ā itās super important to make sure your study space is clutter-free. you donāt have to be super neat, and it doesnāt have to be spotless, but you need to be able to find your stuff and think clearly. whenever iām feeling super off, iāll organize my desk a little bit and itās honestly so refreshing to study at a clean desk!!
kILL YOUR DISTRACTIONS.Ā this is what i do when i realize i am so far down the procrastination pit. do whatever it takesĀ to get rid of whatever has been distracting you. literally leave no options for yourself but to study. here are some ways you can do this: - turn off yo wifi. unless your assignment requires wifi, the best way to get rid of your online distractions is to simply turn off your wifi! i swear, this one saves the day when iām āwritingā essays. - get an app.Ā self control is my savior. if you donāt have a mac, cold turkey seems to be the popular one for windows users. - move. sometimes, if youāre working in your room, itās just too easy to take a nap or procrastinate. move to a place where someone else can see you and keep tabs on you.Ā āmom, can you please nag me??ā - if your distraction is a person.. yeah, donāt kill them. just politely ask them to stop-doing-the-distracting-thing and if they donāt stop, you may have to move. or get them to move.
time yourself.Ā look at the time. tell yourself:Ā ā5 minutes from now i will have finished at least two of these math problems.ā and in 5 minutes, if youāre still procrastinating, do pushups or something as punishment. use short spurts like this to keep an eye on yourself!! Ā
take breaks. youāll burn out easily if you just sit down for eight hours and study. take frequent (every half hour, or every hour) breaks to stretch, drink water, take a breather, and if you didnāt get enough sleep you can even take power naps. this keeps you focused on your task because you know that thereās a break coming up aS LONG AS YOU JUST. DO. IT! - i know itās been said before but..Ā during your break i definitely recommend exercising. exercise is so, so good for you and totally clears up your head. thereās no need to do a super intense crossfit/hiit workout or anything, but i like to do jumping jacks, high knees, wallsit, burpees, pushups, plank, stretching, tuck jumps, and/or yoga.
ask for help. this seems out of place, i know, but i think one of the main reasons i end up distracted is because iām just confused about what iām learning - and i donāt want to try and figure it out. if you find yourself getting stuck, instead of chilling out on youtube (āiāll watch one video. just one. seriously.ā), ask for help!!! you can search it up, of course, but i think asking a real person will make sure you actually get the job done.
lighting is important.Ā especially in the night. if youāre studying and itās dark, and itās nighttime, and youāre tired and bored, youāre going to think a nap time is in order. not only will lighting affect your sleepiness, itās also bad for your eyes to study for a longgg time in dim lighting. try to keep your study space bright, cheery, and encouraging!!
set up a plan.Ā setting up a strict (you can make it as strict as you want. if you want to be super specific and have things scheduled to the minute, go for it!!) study schedule will definitely keep you in check. if youāre just doing whatever, whenever, thereās a huge chance youāll end up doing nothing.
say no to tech. if you can, just try to close your computer and phone and go without them. i canāt avoid tech when iām studying since i do online school, but a lot of you can totally just use your handy textbook and notes.Ā
donāt give yourself other stuff to do. aka: no multitasking.Ā focus. on. one. thing. at. a. time. iām sometimes super scrambled up and iāll try and do my math homework, english essay, and history flashcards simultaneously. if youāve done this before youāll know itās nOT productive, and even more time-consuming than just tackling them all separately.Ā - this doesnāt just meanĀ ādonāt study a ton of topics all at onceā, i mean, dOnāT MulTitASk at all. if youāve got a study snack, or a good book, or anything like that nearby.. just avoid it for now. you can enjoy it later, when everything you need to do is done.
priorities are your friend!! set up a chart with your priorities. (i have one in my printable collection) do the tasks according to your priorities. that way, even if you do end up distracted, youāll have gotten the important things done before the less important things. (my non-eloquence here is cringeworthy. letās play a game called āhow many times can hannah say thing or things or thingy in one masterpost?ā)
sometimes youāre better off alone.Ā i know this sounds like a breakup tip. whoops. what i mean is, although studying with friends or classmates is often suggested (and itās great, it really is!!) sometimes thatās not the way to go. esPECIALLY if youāre studying with a friend. that snowball can roll down the distraction hill veeery quickly.
enjoy it!! studying is fun! if you actually enjoy what youāre doing, you wonāt even beĀ distracted in the first place. love school, love learning, love what youāre doing! ā”
allllrighty, that is it for my distraction-free studying tips!!Ā
i hope that was helpful andĀ if you have any questions, want to talk, want to yell at me for a bad masterpost, want to chat about your day, have any suggestions for future #studyingwithacdemic masterposts, want to request a future masterpost etc. etc. just drop me an ask and iāll answer asap to the best of my abilities! <3Ā
thanks for reading and have a lovely day, xoxo hannah
Destyni Tyree had a 4.0 grade average, was voted prom queen by her classmates and was captain of the cheer leading squad.
However there is another side to this story. Destyni is homeless. Her mother lost a job two years ago and ever since they were forced to live in shelters.
To graduate high school in 2 years, Tyree had to take a large caseload. Besides, she worked 25 hours a week. Teenagers says she didnāt just work hard for herself, but also for her little sister so that she had someone to look up to. She says:
āI just time managed. I just wake up and do what I gotta do. Quite frankly, Iām just ready to go and live life. I know thereās a better life out there for me. ā
Tyreeās hard work has paid off. Because her grades were so good, she was awarded a full ride scholarship to Potomac State College of West Virginia University.

100 Reasons to Study:
I never expected this āreasons to studyā thing to get so many submissions, and as it takes me so long to post them all, I decided to do a bulk post of some so here they are:
(If I havenāt included a url, it was submitted by an anon).
To prove people that ābadā students can become excellent students too.
To expand your knowledge of the world.
To look back on your success in ten years time. (Submitted byadxlastudies)
To not let my mental illness define my grades. (Submitted bymusicandmaths)
I study because I am privileged enough to have the opportunity. I study because I have no one getting in my way telling me I canāt. I study because I want to do some real good in this world. I study because I live in a country where being female has no significant disadvantage; and so, I take this opportunity so that I may make future opportunities for those who donāt have them. (Submitted by crimson-voltaire)
My reason for studying is how Iāll get to where I want to be in my life which is successful, comfortable, and happy.
I study to make my mum happy and proud.
I study to prove my anxiety wrong!
I study because I want to save lives.
I study because my grandpa, orphaned during WWII when he was 8, worked 4 days a week in a mine to learn for 2 days. Heās retired after 40 years of working in diplomacy, for the last 5 years as an ambassador. Heās my role model. And I love him so much.
I study because my primary school teacher from when I was 6 replied āWell who would think that?ā when my mother informed her I was going to university. I study so I can tell her āWhy would you not think that?ā
I study because I want to give myself the best future I possibly can as a black woman. (Submitted by n-marlzz)
I study because my dreams are improbable. But not impossible. I will achieve them. (Submitted by redheadbecool)
I study because even though I canāt imagine having a future, I want one. (Submitted by stxdys)
I study so that I can be surrounded by the right people at school, at home, at work, and on Tumblr. You can only walk the path that you choose for yourself, so choose wisely. Pave your path with bricks, not straw.
I study because last year I was in a mental hospital for young people and I discovered that I want my death to mean something.
I study because diseases have haunted my family for long enough, and cancer deserves to be taken down once for all.
I study because my father left school at age 13 to work to provide for his family and he has been working ridiculously hard ever since so I can have an education.
I study to be self reliant and to get more answers. The concept of being independent is attractive to me, and if i study hard enough, i will be able to live freely without relying on my parents. The thought of getting answers is a huge satisfaction.
I study because I told my ex, āWatch me go to Harvardā. So oops.
Because I want to have a well paying job which means I can eventually travel the world one day.
I study because I love to be productive really just in love with the feeling of it being noon and already have gotten everything done that I needed for that day. (Submitted by revision-babe)
I want and I like to study because I believe that we as humans have the responsibility of maintain and grow the knowledge people developed in the past. How could we waist all those efforts to try know this wonderful world a little better? Ā (Submitted by mochilunar-universeā)
I study because my Dad went through a lot of work to get to this country so that I could have a good life and a good education, and Iām not going to waste all his good efforts and take him and my education for granted.
Because I believe I can do it and I wonāt let their words stop me. (Submitted by truly-written-by-me)
I study for my own sense of achievement! Iām also really motivated by my boyfriend who is very clever and works really hard. I want to get a first in my masters this year and I will! Ā (Submitted by @orchidbeam)
