Okay but I love the idea of analyzing how different eeveelutions would go about caring for an eevee. Like obviously Vaporeon’s go-to food source is fish, but an eevee raised by a flareon would probably get used to lightly roasted meat.

Gwynn having a crush on Canari, and Canari being aromantic and aware that her best friend has a crush on her that she doesn't reciprocate, but Canari being completely cool with it because it's not a parasocial fan this time; it's her G-volt, who she loves to hang out with in any shape or form, and who completely understands what matters to her. and sure enough, Gwynn knows perfectly well that Canari doesn't reciprocate the same feelings, but has feelings of huge personal significance towards Gwynn nonetheless — and it's not like Gwynn's immune to occasional feelings of wistfulness about not being in a romantic relationship, but it's still her Canari, and she'll enjoy luxuriating in Canari's presence as Canari's best friend no matter what, especially given that they both take that friendship and get deeply weird with it. their feelings don't have to be identical for them to be important to each other's lives forever. do they ever directly communicate this to each other directly? maybe not, but like, they look at each other and get it.
