headcanon that the entire bad batch knows whatever the star wars equivalent to sign language is.
the original four all learned it growing up, mostly for hunter. when he would get overwhelmed and overstimulated from his heightened senses, his brothers would use sign language to communicate with him so they wouldnât create more overlapping noise. they used it even more after wreckerâs accident, because his hearing was definitely impaired and sometimes he just canât hear them very well unless heâs close.
then echo joins them. he knew only a little before skako minor, but now his hearing is very impaired without his helmet. he doesnât know sign language but immediately sees that everyone in the batch uses it quite a lot. tech is the first to notice his interest and starts to teach. echo is very adaptable so he picks it up really quick. everyone starts using sign language around him consistently, especially at night when helmets are fully off. it makes him feel so understood and seen in a way that he canât even put into words, he loves his new brothers so much.
when omega joins tech is quick to teach her as well, mostly because he finds that he LOVES teaching her new things. the others teach her some things as well and help her learn by using it around her more often to help her pick it up. it definitely takes her longer than echo did, but sheâs not at all deterred by that fact and loves it.
welcome to my bad batch sensory headcanons propaganda btw
