i am usually EVULBAD but this is my blog where i'm not EVULBAD. i post whatever here.

i like art and games and bugs and stuff. forever burnt out but determined to live goodstyle.

i'm not saying the art fight rules aren't dumb; who cares if you trace a 3d model you made/posed or a reference image that you took. but i do think we should be a little more careful with the idea that tracing someone else's photography is anything less than ... tracing someone else's art. if it's bad when it's something someone drew, why is it less bad when it's something someone captured?

and if you want my ACTUALLY maybe mean opinion that i apply to my own art, it's that tracing past the sketch stage (which i would only do for models i've made) is a slippery slope that should be avoided and stunts artistic growth and understanding. but that's my own standards
