I post here once in a blue moon. I was thinking about all the obvious Arab/South Asian inspo we see in the Dark Dimension and especially Umar...and decided to incorporate aspects of Shadi Abdel Salam's costume designs to make Sofia Strange a hero costume.

Hey there people of Tumblr, I know I don't post much..shits been crazy with university and just living in America in general! Even so, this is an incredibly important post.
In recent weeks, the socials of some close friends of mine, Tam and Bobbi, have been bombarded by horrific transphobes. They make lovely travel blogging/vlogging content that highlights what it's like to travel the world as a trans and queer couple. Bobbi is an ex Nasa scientist and has the kindest soul of anyone I've ever met, and it's heartbreaking to see their socials being bombarded by such hate. The both of them have been so kind and a real blessing to my family, and they deserve the world.
I know if there's any community that would help uplift trans content creators, it's you guys!

Hey gays! Uni has been killing me and my art inspo, but I heard a cover of Conan Gray's "Family Line" by Celina Fang on insta and was inspired to make my first ever Capcut edit. It's not perfect, but I think it tells the story I wanted to :))
I will be doing art for the top two poll winners (Laura and Lorna) but in the meantime here some of my backlogged art! this has got to be one of my favorite traditional pieces I’ve ever done. I did the scepter last and if I could I’d go back and fix that..bc wtf. Everything else is so well rendered and then there’s just, bam. But hey you live and learn! My interpretation of Sofia Strange has certainly shifted over the years. First we have a little comic cover I did (very early in my digital art path) and then a more recent piece I did of her. Can you tell I have never liked drawings backgrounds? There's a reason I'm going into STEM and not art career wise lol. I'm no great artist- this is all for fun :))
My more recent interpretation leans away from a carbon copy of her father and more into an Alternative fashion teen who loves the strange and the macabre...she's trying to figure out who she is. What it means to be a teenage girl and not just the heir to the dark dimension. (I could write a whole essay on the possible complexities explored with Sofia Strange...lmk if that's something you all would like to see!)
Can you tell I watched 6Teen growing up? Her white hair is still all natural, curtesy of both her parents genetics. She just dyes it- like she seems to in the comics!

I've never made a post on here before but uhhh. Art dump?? These are all from an AU with my friend where Kobik ended up in MCU and Tony was her sort of father figure!! Lots of just silly goofy drawings. I'm mostly a traditional realistic artist so..style is all over the place as I figure out how to do different stuff!
