Okay, so this was initially written for Day 2 of @erumikaweek​ (for the prompts awkward encounters & trying something new) but I was hit with writer’s block immediately after starting it and had to set it aside for a while. I know this is super late, but…better late than never, right?

Summary: As a rule, good things don’t happen to Mikasa at parties. Meeting Erwin just might be the exception to that rule. Extra emphasis on ‘might be.’

Chapter summary:  Erwin can’t have everything, not at the same time. Or how Erwin Smith finally convey his true feelings.

Why the memories of her ruby red and full lips quicken his heart? Why she looked at his eyes the way she did? Did his mind trick him? What if Hanji didn’t show up?

I am so late with this, but here is my contribution for EruMika week. It’s been something I’ve wanted to write since Kaleidoscope last year and is somewhat of a continuation to that piece. Romantic relationships aren’t exactly the focus of these fics, so that’s why it’s tagged the way it is.

Chapter summary: He buys candies for Mikasa as a thank you gift. An energetic salesgirl explains him the meaning of the gemstone shaped candies and he chooses the peridots cardamom flavored. But Erwin wonders if the note and gift are a mistake, and her silence is making him anxious.

Chapter summary: Little and deep changes in Erwin life are related to her presence, he doesn’t realize yet how much he cares and trust this particular intern. Can he open his heart to her? and why would he do that?
