At first we assumed this lead was possibly misinformed or misremembering, as Rachel evidently contributed to a number of different anthologies all of which could have easily been confused for TDPS.

But upon further digging...

It turns out this physical copy of TDPS does in fact exist, but alas, just as we started to find some leads, our trail ran cold again, as it so often does.

But if there's one thing I've learned since starting this blog, it's that good things come to those who wait, and those good things often come from the most unexpected places.

So if YOU happen to come across a legit copy of DMC's New Ground Issue #4 (October 2005) let me know! I'd be thrilled to add it to my lost media comic collection <3 Not just for Rachel Smythe art preservation, but also for all the other artists featured within these pages as well! It's for comic history, and because we're too dang stubborn to quit.

This ~125 page anthology is a ONE-OF-ITS-KIND FIRST EDITION PRINT of a collection of comics that a bunch of super cool, amazingly talented comic pals came together to create. This was an amazingly fun project, one that I'm so, so glad I was able to participate in. It was definitely also a fun challenge to write and draw a short comic for once! But most of all, I'm thrilled and honored to have my work existing alongside so many of the amazing stories inside this book.

I ordered nine of these books, I've kept one for myself and put aside three for people who have already spoken up, so that leaves FIVE copies remaining which I'll be selling at art markets!

That said, if you'd like a copy for yourself, please DM me and I'd be happy to set it up! (*just note that I will be shipping from Canada, which may result in larger shipping costs for international / overseas recipients and additional custom fees). I'd also love to sign it for you! <3

We've also been given the means to print more copies in the future, if we so choose. So I may print more copies if I go through this batch, if there's enough demand for it and if I'm up to the task. But note that I will likely handle any and all future prints through pre-orders / deposit claims as getting these printed will be at my expense. I also probably won't be the only person printing and selling more of these in the future, so please be aware that availability and pricing may vary depending on who you order them from. we're looking to create an AI policy, and when we were talking about this, my boss (older millennial) was genuinely shocked to hear that younger people do not (seem) to view AI positively (a la the recent commencement speakers being booed)
