Promote Equality, Celebrate Differences

I see this term thrown around a lot by people saying racist, islamophobic, transphobic, or sexist things. Let’s break down what “freedom of speech” actually means. It’s a law, in fact in the US it’s the first amendment in the Constitution. It basically means that you have the right to gather and protest/speak out against your government and establishments. It also means that “you have the right to remain silent”. Which is one of the rights spoken to you by officers when being placed under arrest.

Here’s what “freedom of speech” does NOT mean:

- You do not have the right to defame a person. (Harmful slander that can damage ones reputation.)

- You do not have the right to hate speech in any form be it verbal, vandalising property with hate speech, or threats of violence. (Racism, sexism, transphobia, islamophobia, or ableism.)

- You do not have the right to infringe your personal political or religious beliefs on others.

It was the NISVS 2010. They found that the male/female rape victimization ratio was about ¼ over the lifetime numbers, assuming men report at the same rate, which they don’t. Men also said that 79.3% of people who made them penetrate were women, which indicates that about 1/5 victims are men, and 1/6 rapists are women.

Hardly what I’d call “overwhelmingly male”. In fact, that’s a higher ratio of female rapists than the ratio of are black people in America.

That’s a lot of words to say “women are the most oppressed, always”.

Most of the people who have been killed and harmed by men’s actions, historically, are…other men.

Also, good job trying to appropriate the suffering of billions of women. I guess if blame is transferred by virtue of what’s in your pants, so is victimization.

Those links actually undermine your case. Logically, men should be more scared of other men than women are. By your own evidence, men are bigger victims. By your own logic, you should be trying to help them.

The conclusion that feminism has reached is that men have had it ‘better’ than women throughout history and that this has been of mens doing. This is clearly not an accurate version of history, since while there are indeed areas in which men have had it better there are also areas in which women have had it better. However, feminism talks about gender equality in this very much one sided, black and white manner. Basically every feminist I have ever encountered believes this to be a reasonable version of the truth. Even those who claim to simply want equality for everyone generally hark back at some point to this idea that it is women (and only women) who have suffered throughout history. 

While I am aware that there are many good people in feminism who genuinely want equality, this core belief in a lie cannot be ignored. While individual feminists may not be ‘bad’ they are supporting a movement that inherently is bad. They are supporting a movement whose the core thinking states that men have taken the better roles in society for themselves and left women with the dregs. They are supporting a movement which lies. Telling lies and then trying to sculpt society around those lies is a bad thing. It is counterproductive to gender equality at best. At worst it is actively disparaging and hateful towards men.

The word you are looking for is Rape, she Raped him, She is in jail for Raping a child.

Does being gay mean they now have a shelters to go to when they are raped? Does being poor mean they will no longer face bias in family courts? Does being black mean they will no longer face unfair sentencing? Does being disabled mean they have access to some super secret spending on research into prostate cancer? Does being Jewish mean they are no longer mutilated at birth on religious grounds? Does being Muslim mean graduate and pursue higher education at the same rate as women?

Publicly attacking women is fine if they don’t attack our political enemies strongly enough. I mean, such dumb whores are literally useless, right?

What do I mean it’s smoke and mirrors? Because the source intentionally interprets the data to make the talking point. The source of the claim attempt 3 times as often is this page. Which has a funny little clause at the bottom:

“494,169 people visited a hospital for injuries due to self-harm. This number suggests that approximately 12 people harm themselves for every reported death by suicide. However, because of the way these data are collected, we are not able to distinguish intentional suicide attempts from non-intentional self-harm behaviors.“

So what does that mean?  It means they are guessing at best, and willfully misleading(lying) at worst. They say it right there, because of the way the data is collected there the woman who came in with a broken toe after she stubbed(non-intentional self harm) it is counted as a suicide attempt. It is given equal weight to real attempts like downing a bottle of sleeping pills. It also doesn’t account for women who survive making multiple attempts.

There’s a scene where the wife character (Megan Mullally) gets high and wants to have sex where the husband (Bryan Cranston) is entirely disinterested.  The House AI takes it upon herself (voiced by Kaley Cuoco) to put on music, fill the room with his favorite perfume, and try to help Megan seduce him.

Except he’s explicitly saying no and pulling away from her.  Again.  And again.  And again.  Doesn’t keep her from straight-up trying to rip his pants off.  Or from (off-screen) trying to blow him.  Or squeezing his head between her knees and telling him he’s 6 inches too far away.  Or from grabbing his hand and physically forcing him to grab her chest.

So, if you hate shipping, like I do, gird your loins. We’re in for some turbulence.
