iâm thinking of moving blake back onto her old blog, which is a shit idea, but iâve been filled with shit ideas as of late.
ok to make it explicitly clear to the anons in my blakeâs inbox, i donât ship with people that havenât at least tried to interact with my main blog. becomestorm is where i feel happiest. on ren i feel special, and more often than not, on blake i feel collected. it takes me a lot longer to feel comfortable on this blog than it does returning to ren after some absence, so yeah â as petty as it is, i prioritise blogs who value both of my rw/by muses and not just blake / because to be completely frank, she attracts the people who are nice to me for shipping and smut, and while thatâs alright and all itâs not all iâm interested in.
i might be doing a soft reset on blakeâs blog? i realise iâve been depicting her in a way that wasnât my actual intention when i started her blog. idk if itâs the way i carry her or something ... sheâs not giving off the vibe i want her too, and thatâs hard to explain. iâm still not sure when her muse is gonna call me back, but expect that when it does.  /  we donât have to reset anything if weâve got established stuff, but just know blake is going to be acting a little different / i want to focus on a different aspect of her personality.
i wake blakeâs muse up to be a tease and Thatâs It.

ephmrele asked : " that was /not/ an apology. " felid made sure to emphasise, amber hue narrowing at the "princess" with a growing resentment. " we'd travel faster if it wasn't for your immature nonsense. " ( anastasia au )
       immature nonsense ⌠? immature nonsense !!! how dare she even fathom responding to her in such a snippy way. even if she were not â the princess ,  â snow darling would still take offense. she , as a human being , deserved respect. orphan or not. â   sorry , if i slow you down but walking for hours in these ramshackle shoes. âââ they are killing my feet !   â gesturing to thin soles of her shoes. canvas had been torn , grime now caked to it. every step she took , the once gentle snowflakes that fell around her now had been packed down to form sinister surface to slide across &. clung to her like death. the sky blue grew gloomy as the chill began to gain strength. the ground became hard &. unkind as minutes turned to hours.Â
                   how long had they been out here ?                                    âŚ.   how far was it ?
       pulling coat ( three sizes too large ) closer around her thin frame , she kicked a few pebbles. â   youâre a very unpleasant person !   â scowl escaped from her throat , cold air became visible plumes rising from bated breath. coughs sprouted from weary lungs , ice shook her bones as she stopped once more. back bent over to catch air like butterflies in a broken net. oh , if the reaper was one who knew sympathy , they surely would take her out of her misery &. spirit her away from her company. whatever , nails clawed into worn sweater trying to calm her gut from groaning too loud. ( a pest : that is what you are. youâre just a payday to the belladonna. ) hunger hung heavier with each second frostbite threatened to take her. muttering insult after insult , she trudged along after the she - umbra who had no problem navigating through nowhere. âââ  perhaps , her haughty attitude kept her warm or was it more obvious : that coat she wore gave off a cozy appearance along with her shiny boots. of course , she would be insensitive to snowâs blight. the shadowess did not know the discomfort of a lonely life where pennies were precious gold.Â
@ephmreleâ. an old ask from my previous blog.Â
âCarmine? Who is this Carmine you speak of! I amâŚMister Midnight!â And then he strikes the pose! Itâs such a good pose, head down into his shoulder and both hands diagonal to the earth as he leans into them. Itâs such a refined, majestic bow-itâs a dab. Heâs dabbing, and he doesnât even know it. And then heâs upright, offering Blake a hand as he winks behind the mask. âAnd by what name may I know this indescribable beauty before me?â Hey, if you canât be confident, fake it âtil you make it. But, itâs Carmine, no doubt.Â
âŚMaybe heâs just trying to make her laugh? It had been a long week.Â
@ephmrele / sc / for blakey!!
to his credit,  she did laugh.  itâs a rare sound, more like a huff of amused breath than real laughter but many that knew blake understood her warmth came in trickles rather than streams. catch her less guarded and one might come to learn her laughter was full, and rich, and enchanting. he was well on his way to finding out. sheâd always had a weak spot for humour, extravagant displays of affection from time to time. even so, she can see through the mask quite easily, a finger rising to his nose, trailing up the slope until sheâs ticking off the stupid thing with a dextrous flick of her wrist.  â  shopkeep might kick you out of the noodle stand if youâre wearing a getup like that,  makes it hard to see your pretty grey eyes.  â  that, she agreed with. it had been a long week. training, and homework had keep her busy and unable to visit the radio tower.  â  câmon,  iâve been looking forward to this for three days.  â
âThis is a reminder that your future mate must contend with me in the pure judgement of the arena.â He knows what you kids get up to.
unprompted. (Â always acc. )
blakeâs initial instinct was to blush, because what in the world had ash observed to prompt him into saying that ? of course it was embarrassing, he was like a second father to her, and she didnât even want her first one to know what sheâd been doing concerning any of her love interests. but then again, maybe if heâd somehow dissuaded her of her infatuation on adam back when her parents left the white fang, she wouldnât have alienated herself from them in the first place. no, that was ridiculous, it was her own fault for being so stupid in the first place, mixing her feelings with the harmful delusions of a fantasy.
still, the idea of ash meeting anyone sheâd had a crush on before horrified her. there was so much possible dirt he could drop. while he seemed solemn and terrifying, that didnât compare to sheer horror of his unsuspecting pride in her. he would show baby photos. or â no â he could bring up isda !! was isda still at home ? she didnât grow up in the chieftainâs house, why would they have any need to move her pet fish plush ? still, the thought was enough to strike her bone marrow cold. â youâre so old fashioned, ash. no one uses âmateâ anymore. â belladonna huffed, a hand scrubbing over her face and hair an excuse to hide her embarrassment.
â donât you ever get tired of scaring my crushes away ? â @gojvra.
a baby blake, three or four years old, stalks the apex predator with tiny feet padded by her fluffy purple onesie. she was trying to get around him and into the kitchen where she could smell mama baking treats, armed with only her trusty fish plushie.
Did the child truly believe she had the necessary skill to sneak past such a creature as Ash? He still hear the quiet touch of her toes to the the floor, watching her out of the corner of her eye. The first mistake of a huntress: Blake wasnât aware of her surroundings. But she was growing soâŚslowly. Was this how mortal faunus grew? How could they defend themselves with such a diminutive larval form?
And yet, he was also aware of where Blake was destined to go. As she passed him to the doorway, peeking through it to watch her mother fuss about over the cupcakes, Ash turned his enormous form. Looming damn near miles overhead, he reached down and picked her up by the scruff of her outfit. He turned her slowly to face him, before lifting a finger to his lips. âA hunter should not stalk alone,â he rumbled, likely aware that Kali could hear him (but she played along like a pro), âYou go around one side, and I shall go another. Hunt well, little kitten.â
Her father would be so proud.Â
@ephmrele
she has the primate partially in her lap, half lying down while she twirls unruly strands between her fingers, tongue poking out in concentration. hands were deft and quick, easily weaving and tying the little lines of spun gold. ' there we are ~ ' blake announced as she let the braid fall, subtle note of cheer in her voice despite her affluent sarcasm. ' now you'll be the prettiest princess at the ball. '
     heâs surprisingly good at staying still when he wants to be, it just so happens the simian more often than not would rather be out and about. but the promise of a fresh new look is exciting. not to mention heâs always liked being groomed in any fashion, blame his heritage. heâs content to lay there while playing killzone on his scroll until blake has finished her task.
     âaw, shucks, yaâthink?â he bats his eyes a few times after sitting up, pressing a hand to his chest. the game switches off on his scroll only to bring up the front camera, so he can get a better look at the new braids now adorning either side of his face. instead of sideburns, which neptune hated on him for some reason, heâs now got something a little differentâŚ
     the blond grins, checking himself out a second, turning his head back and forth to let the braids sway âthink nepâll dig âem? cause i gotta say, i do.â

when the former white fang leader would return to menagerie after saying goodbye to his daughter, he'd find the fish plush she once held so dear. a little compartment would hold small items, whether it be snacks, or seashells. this time inside the little fish's pocket there was a small heart shaped picture frame of the belladonna family, a candid shot of the three on the beach. ears windswept, and hair askew, seaweed in the young kitten's hair, but they were happy. blissfully happy.
HOW DARE YOU | aa.@ephmrele
Their home in Kuo Kuana was tiny, just like all of the other homes. It was two rooms: a main room with a kitchen area and a bedroom where the three of them would sleep. There was of course a bathroom as well, but it could hardly be called a room. it was very small and not certainly where you would want to hang out. Ghira set down their packs as Kali got to work making tea. The journey had been tiring and tea was perfect right now.
The former high chief took this time to walk to the bedroom. Perhaps a nap would help to ease the ache in his heart. Upon entering, he spotted Isda laying on her futon. The set up for them was easy: Ghira and Kali slept on the sides and Blake was in the middle. Their bed was a large futon that nearly covered the whole floor of the room. He felt his heart clench as he laid eyes on the plus, walking over to pick it up with a gentle hand.
Despite the years it had been Blakeâs, Isda was still in good condition. Tears welled in his eyes as a smile tugged at his lips. It was tempting to send this to Blake in Anima, but he figured she wouldnât want it there. She was too âgrown upâ for her dear toy. Opening the pocket to make sure there wasnât any snacks inside, Ghira found the little picture. His mouth fell open in surprise, the tears that had been prickling at the corners of his eyes now flowing freely. His lips quivered with emotion, Ghira falling to his knees and crying into his hands. He missed his daughter dearly.
@fractaele said: she thought she was alone, as she breathed in strangled breath. hands went to hair pin pulling out as it fell to the ground. nervous fingers carded through hair as she fell to her knees. what was wrong with her? why couldnât she remember his laugh? no, no, no. âi forgot.â she said as she gazed at the silver accents of the pin. vision grew blurry as tears began to fall from her twin sapphires. âi canât believe i forgot your birthday. i canât believe i forgot the sound of you. forgive me, opa.â
opa.  she could recognise the word.  a lover of literature and languages, and as an agent whoâd spent many a mission undercover in atlas, her atlesian dialect was second only to her mistralian one. it crushed her when he brain finally did make the translation, because she could hazard a guess at why blake could hear weiss breaking down through the crack in the door. when she - umbra thought about the schnee dust company  (  what self respecting white fang recruit wouldnât know the basics  ?  )  weiss was the first person who came to mind, but that was a given. the second person was jacques schnee. then her siblings, who took up very little room, and very little was known about the schnee matriarch. but blake had read about the man whoâd created the schnee dust company, a person who was brilliant, innovative, and kind. if someone like him was still in charge, blake would have never been sent on mission after mission so focused on dismantling their power.
she knew now that faunus, people, remnant, hadnât been the only ones to suffer from the loss of nicholas schnee, not when she could hear the strain in weissâ voice, imagine the crumpling form of a lost granddaughter shattering within armâs reach. she knew what it was like to lose, but never anyone that could tear apart her being from the inside out. blake had never been good at comforting people, how could she hope to aid someone when she didnât understand this loss ? all she knew right now was that she needed to try. she hesitated for the longest time before the door, deliberating between whether she should walk in and comfort weiss or pretend she hadnât heard anything. weiss had told her before that if she just kept pretending she was okay, it would eventually come true. blake still wasnât sure she believed that. her hand shook as she rapped at the door, pressing lips together.  â  weiss  ?  â
feline gulped, instantly wondering if sheâd made a mistake. sheâd technically overheard a private conversation, and it was rude to eavesdrop, but she didnât want to leave weiss alone when she was like this. felid pressed her forehead against the door, ears bent forward the way they did when blake was anxious or distressed. she closed her eyes, tried to listen for any change.  â  i donât  ...  i donât know what i can do to help,  but iâll be here if you need someone to talk to  ...  or just sit with you.  â  fingers leant on the door curled into fist, frustrated at herself for being unable to do better. blake had no idea what she was doing. maybe she was being too invasive. the last time sheâd tried too pry too far into weiss pscyhe snowdrop had snapped.  â  iâll  ...  iâll stay right here until you tell me to go away,  okay  ?  â  an option then. weiss could take the initiative to dismiss blake if she wanted to.  â  you donât have to be alone.  â
blake turned around and slid to the floor at the foot of the door, a pause filling the silence before she turned on her side, voice softer and less hesitant.
â  i canât speak for him but if it were me,  iâd be so happy you were thinking of me with such fondness.  â
asks from the previous blog.
Ruby saving Blake.
@basedmercury said:Â "people like us are both ya know," as he tosses another stone into the water. "we love tragedy and tragedy loves us." juggling another rock in his palm he turns to her, unreadable mask with an empty but friendly enough smirk. "tell me darkness, was that a willin' choice?"
gambol shroud made a satisfying shiiing noise against the whetstone,  a steady slow beat of the blade against rock. itâs a nice sound, she decided, the reassuring welcome of a reliable blade, then she could forget about replacing the entire blade for just a little bit longer. it was in need of upgrades before she could attempt the beacon extrance exams, destroying embargo filled with atlesian knights could dull her sword something fierce. sheâd need it when she pretended to turn against her white fang brothers, because no one but the higher ups would be aware of her double agent status. it was too much to think about as it is, this mock betrayal, how could she know this wasnât adamâs attempt to fire on her without consequence  ?  to test the true limits of her loyalty  ?  even if this was the chance to stop him breathing down her neck, it meant that she would be isolated from all that sheâd known. and mercury
...  mercury wasnât making it any better.
if anything he might have been enabling the darkness in her, making it grow bigger with these fleeting sexual trysts, and sheâd allowed it because she thought this emptiness was what she deserved. at the very least he wasnât a constant reminder of her guilt, the gnawing feeling that sheâd made the wrong decision and should have left this life along with her parents.  was that a willing choice  ?  he asked.  â  yes.  â  feline gently placed her blade down, elegant steps paced along the rocky lakeside to scope for similar flat rocks.  â  i didnât know exactly what i was getting into when i chose to stay by adamâs side,  but i was willing. i was far too willing.  â  she reared her arm back, shooting the pebble across the water and watching it skip five times. her voice was bitter, but when she returned the gaze it mirrored his own, her bronzed lips curled into a subtle, beautiful, hollow smile.  â  i thought i loved him,  and that stupid girl was too eager to trade her ideals for her infatuation.  â
she shrugged, skipping another pebble. ten skips this time.
â  â  and now i have neither.  â

  âgotcha.â a simple word, spoken quickly in an attempt to end the tension as fast as possible. âiâm scared too, though. that guy just seems⌠i dunno. unhinged? is that the right word? i think thatâs the right word.â johnny shook his head, begrudgingly stepping outside into the rain. ââm not sure heâs the best choice weâve got for a leader, is all iâm sayinâ. not to say iâd be any better, though.â as much as he loved the thought of being in a position of leadership, he knew he just wasnât cut out for it. impulsive, rash at times, a tad too aggressive, and easily overwhelmed arenât the traits of a leader. âi think youâd do a pretty good job, though, honestly. at least youâre level-headed and willing to listen to others. adam just seems like heâs got a âstab first, ask questions laterâ kinda mentality goinâ on.â
blake laughed humourlessly,  but it was such a quiet, reserved sound. it would have been the same whether they were on a mission or not. she couldnât even pretend she remembered what it was like to be happy.  â  â unhinged â is the perfect word to use.  â  she reflected over their words as they reached the edge of the facility. she would be happy to have this mission over and done with. theyâd implanted their bugs, made mental and digital copies of the escape routes, as well as taken note of guard shifts for the last six hours. the last troupe had been right, this was the optimal time to infiltrate the facility, as long as they werenât caught this time.  â  when i was still a recruit i thought adam was going to see us through to a new era of peace.  â  she visibly shuddered at the thought.  â  the fact that i ever trusted him to begin with makes me think i have a bad judge of character.  i think you need one of those to be a good leader.  â  the feline left the conversation at that, only piping up a second later to announce.  â  thereâs the exit.  keep your guard up.  â
@ephmrele / sc.
â⌠something came up.
i have to leave.â
a momentary look of concern manifests before she steels herself, shrouding her disappointment with a schooled nod.  â  no, thatâs fine. i can finish this mission on my own.  â  she really  ...  shouldnât though. she was tired, injured. realistically she would need to recuperate before attempting to continue, but she didnât need to tell him that.
