“Well, you are one of the most attractive people I’ve seen,” Shion stated, “and that’s a high compliment from a fox spirit.” She grinned at him.

There was a clear confusion that washed over Niklaus' face. He welcomed insults, expected threats, but this was something else. "...What?" "Is this your way of...charming a man?" He asked again.

He rolled his eyes. “This is the French Quarter. And I am the king.” He added dryly as he casted her a sharp look. “You best ask around before speaking to me, CHILD.”

“Are you now? You sure don’t act like one.” Shion returned his look calmly. “Well, excuse my rudeness, anyways. I’d no idea this area was vampire territory. Or that vampires had kings, for the matter,” she added the last part thoughtfully. At being called a child, she chuckled. 

The hybrid sat quietly for a moment, before setting down the glass slowly. “A vampire wouldn’t waste time with such trivial invention.” He said, a smirk crossing his features. “And that vampire wouldn’t be colosally stupid to ask ME that question.”

Marcellus. How dare Elijah bring this up.

He closed his eyes as his teeth pressed tightly onto each other. But Klaus raised his eyes, and looked at Elijah sourly. “I did what needed to be done.” He defended. “You cannot have an empire Elijah, without having collateral damage.” He added.

Cami smiled, eyes roving over the man’s sharp features. “Not that I’d blame you - NOLA’s pretty infamous for throwing one hell of a party… emphasis on the hell though.” She admitted wearily.
