Hi, uhā¦ I know itās weird to ask a bunch of strangers on the internet, but I donāt have many friends, and my wife thinks it would help me deal with stress, and focus on the kids (I might or might not be losing hair over this. Probably. Maybe itĀ“s just genetics).
My landlord is a real nutcase. I donāt wanna get into details, because heās very particular, and it would come back to bite me in the ass, but letās just say he has a lot of money. Maybe too much. I DONāT KNOW. Normally it wouldnāt bother me, but I think that if he had less, it wouldnāt be an issue for me and my restaurant. Yes, Iām the owner of a restaurant. I wonāt say which one. Itās really good.
Some may say he is playing, but he throws firecrackers at us if he catches us off guard. Generally he moves around in aā¦non specific vehicle, which SOME may say is not very fast, but I think could be dangerous. I mean, some people are not very fastā¦
Oh God, this is embarrassing. I mean, I try to pay my rent on time (Mostly), but he usually comes around in person to collect itā¦ Well, sometimes I donāt know if heās being serious or just mocking me, and trying to make me mad.
I couldnāt get mad at someone like that. Obviously. I try to go unnoticed, fly under the radar, you know.
All that, somehow, makes it worse? I mean, now every Aprilsā Fools he does something horrible in my restaurant. I donāt like pranks, and I try not to get too scared. The first time he covered all the furniture in the venue with bubble wrap. I DONāT KNOW WHEN HE DID IT. Another time he dressed as my wife, and everybody thought it was hilarious, and she even took some photos with him. It gets me on edge. I try to be on my toes, but itāsā¦ hard.
Anyway, some days ago I found him a little tipsy walking down the street. At first I didnāt want to get involved, but I told my wife and decided to drive him home. And that wasā¦ oh, boy. He pestered me the whole way there, asking if I really wasnāt a foreigner (Iām not), or telling me stories about his dad. Oh, he always tells me I remind him of his dad. Isnāt that weird? My wife says itās nothing out of the ordinary, but I donāt know what to think. So I donāt. Think, I mean.
And his house isā¦ itās not that Iām a coward, in general, but I wasā¦ I mean, I was afraid. Itās a really creepy old manor. I thought it would be the end of meā¦ like in the movies.
He told me to leave him at the entrance, that āInga would come get him.ā I donāt know who this Inga person is, and didnāt stay to find out. I could swear I heard him falling down on the porch, but I didnāt want to look back. I was really scared.
Oh God, Iām sure he fell on the porch. And I didnāt help him.
Now I think everything is more awkward. I donāt know what to do. Should I avoid him? I mean, I REALLY need some advice.
