the other day i was thinking about tim and his cloning attempts. and how this vulnerable moment for tim turns into a fetish for a ship, instead of the real heart breaking moment it is. which, to me, is tim trying to bring back his friends and loved ones from the dead. his girlfriend died, his father died, two of his closest friends and teammates died, his adoptive father presumed dead as well, and before that he had already lost his mother. everyone and everything he gave up his normal life for, gone and there was nothing he could do about it.

I know everyone always goes on about the pants and I think the bo staff and the updated Robin symbol itself are massive additions to the lore but I think Tim drakes greatest contribution to the Robin mantle was putting black on the cape that shit slaps

bruce's stubborn bleeding heart that he keeps putting on the line anyway but he'd rather they all hate him for something he didn't do than for him to tell the truth and have that rejected. my self fulfilling prophecy who knows in his heart that he deserves to be hated but at least batman can keep protecting that eight year old he still is if he doesn't give up that part of him
