i feel like a lot of white people in academia including myself sometimes forget that there is a huge difference between white conspiracy theorists being afraid of vaccines causing autism or whatever bullshit and POC, especially black people, fearing them bc of demonstrable abuse of medical power, including vaccines, against them. Like I strongly believe that the vaccine is meant to work correctly and isn’t anything malicious but treating POC like they’re stupid or anti intellectual for having reservations is not helpful to anyone.
